Frisk looked away shyly, rubbing her elbow like mad, feeling the yarn scratch at her pale finger tips. She was anticipating San's response, good or bad. She began to feel sweat beading at her forehead and small of her back and neck, feeling her sweater stick to her damp, curved back. Her face was a cherry red, and a sheepish grin rested on her face. She waited eagerly for his response.

.....Nothing

In that kitchen....There was nothing. Not a single word was uttered between the two for what seemed like an eternity, each passing second making Frisk's stomach drop a little bit more. She felt like hurling, the pit of her stomache tossing and turning in complete and utter agony. Did she make the wrong choice? Did he not feel the same? Oh my stars, she knew she should have waited longer! Her grin began to falter, her bottom lip quivering as she began to fight the droplets forming under her closed eyelids. Her eyebrow began to twitch and quiver and she sniffled, taking a small step back.

"Jeez kid....I....ah.." Sans began to speak out, diverting his eyes from her closed ones, sweating dripping from his forehead.

She felt her sins writhing on her back and crawling on her neck, weighing her to the ground, where her stomach felt to be. She turned away rapidly on her heels, her chocolate brown hair whipping around her. The tears she had been struggling to fight back had began to pour down her swollen red cheeks. She ran out the house, slamming the door behind her. Her bare striped socks sunk into the crisp white snow beneath her, reminding her that her shoes were inside. The chill of Snowdin was nipping at her, numbing her face slightly. She sharply inhaled, and began to run off to the Waterfall.

She didn't make it far, she had began to slow down once she reached the normally foggy area. It was colder out tonight than most, with a snowstorm being in progress. Her shaking hands started to rub at her arms, trying to retain some warmth. She looked to her right and left, her eyes in a squint to protect her fragile iris from the snow pelting down at her like small bullets.

She could barely see anything, but kept trudging through the layers of white death. Her feet and hands began to hurt, the nerves in her fingers and toes pricking her like needles. Her face began to sting and her mouth went numb and became a nasty shade of frost bitten purple. In the distance, she heard a door slam shut, the sound muffled by the snow and chilly wind. 'Sans....' She thought, her mind and heart racing. She stiffened up and began to run the opposite way of the noise.

Frisk looked out infront of her, and saw a clearing, where the snow began to die down. Her entire body felt numb everywhere, and every time she would move a
limb, a surge of pain would wash through that area. Her slowed breaths were visable in the agonizing cold.

She could pick up on the sound of rapid footsteps behind her, and she desperately tried to quicken her pace, as she was so close to the sweet sweet nirvana that was Waterfall.

Then, she stopped dead in her tracks. Her wrist was grabbed forcefully, causing her to wince slightly in the pain. She looked back in dismay and pain, trying to distinguish the figure that resided behind her and was currently putting a lot of pressure on her wrist. A bright blue light hit her eyes, causing her eyes to squint to a close. She knew who it was almost instantaneously once she saw that familiar blue glow through the pellets of snow .....Sans. She opened her frost bitten lips to let out a retort to his actions, when he suddenly spoke out,

"No! DON'T say anything!" He spat out in a frustrated manner, causing her to silence herself.

He pulled the ice-cold girl closer to him, as she averted her eyes from his glowing blue one. His tone softened once he sensed her melancholy and he used his free hand to guide her face back to his.

"Hey, look at me, kid." Sans whispered to her, his soft words disappearing in the snow. She hesitantly looked up at him, tears once again pooling at her lower lashes. He wiped them away with his thumb and spoke out sweetly,

"Why did you run out here when I hadn't fully given you my response?" He smiled gently down at her, his eyelids folded downward and his eyebrows furrowed softly to show his concern.

She gasped a bit, and then sighed it off. She mustered up the fraction of a fraction of courage she still possessed, and stuttered out,

"Well, it's obvious you don't feel the same toward me.....I could tell by the way you spoke. You looked uncomfortable....Man, you are the same as your brother, trying to find a way to let me down easily-"

"Jeez kid, I hope this doesn't end the way it did for you an Pap. An I hope you feel a little more strongly about your feelings for me than you did him." He gazed down at her again, seeing her bit at her swollen purple lip.

"Well" her eyes grazed over every detail in his face, admiring them softly. "I do love you, I really do. This feeling....isn't anything I had felt before! I really care about you, and I-I get weak in the knees when you stare at me like this..." She was blushing like mad at how close they were, her sweater-covered skin grazing against his bare ribcage, causing another chill to run up and down her spine.

"Well, I'm glad you aren't pulling my leg about this. Hehehe. Um, I'm think it's finally time that I told you my feelings." His blue tinted blush lit up, glowing softly. He continued,

"I had always felt strongly about you. I had cared for your well being when I first met you back when you were young. My feelings grew even more after each passing year. Eventually, I think you were 14 or something, I had realized my feelings were more than just a friendship. I wanted to protect you, I loved to see you happy, I love your smile, and it brought me nothing but utmost glory to see you smile at me. The whole nightmare stuff brought us closer, and I had fully accepted my more passionate feelings towards you. Frisk, I love you. I love you more than you will ever know. I have for a long time, but I wanted to make sure you had a firm grasp on what you wanted, who you wanted, and how to deal with these feelings." His gaze averted from hers, in an embarrassed fashion. She was grinning up at him, tears welling up once more. Tears of joy. She felt like her heart would burst open at any moment, and she felt like squealing. Her stomach continued twisting and turning as he finished his thoughts.

"I was going to tell you of my feelings when you turned 18, when I thought you were ready. But-" He chuckled softly, and pulled her closer to him, allowing her soft skin to make contact with his hard, smooth bones. Her blush began to deepen to a vibrant strawberry, hers almost glowing as much as his. He began to run his honey hands through her chocolate brown hair, untangling the curly knots as he swept through the strands. "Now that you admitted first, I don't have to worry about that anymore." He looked at her, his blue eye still glowing vibrantly.

She was more overjoyed than she had ever been. She wanted to pull him into a kiss, and now she knew she could without the slightest pang of regret or doubt that he loved her aswell. However, as she reached up, her vision began to fade into a deep black. Her hand retracted, and she felt her limbs go limp beneath him. The last thing she saw before getting the deep sleep, was the complete and utter dismay on Sans' face.
