These are far from the best conditions for survival but I had to admit the constant darkness helped me sleep a bit better. Sleeping is my main activity aboard this ship and I'm starting to get sick of it. Usually my sleep is too fast and deep for me to dream so now I feel like I'm being haunted. Haunted by the all the things I've done and fully intend to keep on doing. My dreams aren't all like that though, a lot of them are just about food. Damn I was hungry. Once everyday food was thrown down here and it always caused a riot. I have been trying to get involved in it as little as I can. Kids were beating each other to a pulp for that garbage. I think I saw a girl break another girls arm and that was only after she took out a chunk of her hair. It has been five days so far; my only food has been small scraps left over after fights. So I need to start getting involved soon. Its day six and something needs to be done before my body becomes too weak to fight. A small opening to the upper deck opened up like it always did and a huge pile was tossed down. Kids started going crazy right from the start and I tried to be as sneaky as possible. Waving threw the crowd of ravenous children in a kind of zig-zag direction. Remarkably a reasonably sized piece of bread had fallen to the side and I dove for it. I should know by now that if anything is ever that easy it's probably a trap. I SHOULD know, but I didn't and another boy had the same idea as me. We met each other's eyes in a stand of. We were around the same height but he was a lot thicker than me. From the looks of it he came from someplace where he was well feed before he was captured becoming a prisoner here. When he saw that I was trying to pull away with the bread he didn't waste time saying anything instead opting to punch me in the stomach. I grunted in pain but didn't let go or alter my path. When he sees this he decided to jump on top of me like he was trying to capture a wild animal. So I in turn acted like I was a wild animal and bit him on the neck till I drew blood. He recoiled holding his neck while looking at me in horror. "You basterd" he croaked. "Sure" I said before quickly making my getaway with the bread that I was almost certain had blood dripped on it. There was no way I would be able to make it back to my little corner in one piece threw all this commotion. So I tried to conceal myself in the shadows along the sides of the ship. When I finally found a place I tried to crouch down into it but then I heard a tiny whimper. A lump formed out of the shadows so I went to get a closer look. The lump reveled itself to be a small girl. "Ow" she said. "You sat on me." "Sorry" I told her "I'm just trying to get away from them." I said while pointing toward the crowd. "Same as you I'm guessing?" I asked. She nodded as reveled herself more to me, she was so skinny and frail looking. Not to mention she was young couldn't be any older than 5 or 6. I couldn't make out that much of her other than that except that she had curly black hair. She tilted her head at me questioningly. "Why are you hiding, aren't you a big kid?" she asked. "Well, I'm a bit of a coward but it helps to keep me alive." She gave me another confused head tilt and smiled. "You should be more like my brother he's out there getting food for both of us!" She told me. I just looked away and told her that I would try to emulate her brother more in the future. When the crowd finally died down I left the girl and headed for my corner but not before giving her half of my bread just in case her brother didn't come back. The doors of the ship opened roughly a day later and I could hear the guards yelling at us to get out as the light streaming in blinded me.

P.S Sorry for the late up date someone was holding my computer hostage. X3
