*Kylo Ren POV*
I guess I had finally, sort of gotten through to Rey. She still looked at me like a monster, yet she respected me as a master. It was hard to read her this way. She was so kind and gentle to the people in the village. It was like she wasn't completely on the Dark Side and it aggravates me.I took to following her in the market in case another person thought it okay to disrespect her. Every time I go with her she treats everyone equally. She's a padawan to the Dark Side, not to the Light and I need her to understand that.
"Okay, today is going to be much different. We're going to the market for today." I said.
"Don't we go there every day?" She asked.
"This time will be different. Follow me."
She nodded and followed.
As we arrived at the market, people bowed down immediately. I rolled my eyes under the mask. I never went out in public without it. Security reasons.
"Master..."
I kept walking, ignoring Rey. I was a man on a mission. I headed towards the slashing post.
"Master..." She repeated more firmly.
I still ignored her still as the sounds of pain from the whipping post grew louder, which made me grin, with pleasure. I stood in the small crowd as a teenager, about sixteen or eighteen at most was being slashed left and right.
I moved through the crowd to the center. The stormtrooper stopped whipping and stood at command.
"Your off duty for the time being. Find something else to do." I said.
The stormtrooper nodded and walked off, followed by two others. I picked up the whip and set it in Rey's trembling hands.
"Rey, it has come to my attention that you are much to soft for a padawan on her way to the Dark Side." I said.
"I told you that I will do what ever you tell me to do for the time being, but never join you. My friends are coming to get me. Or I'm going to get them, I don't know but..."
I held up a hand, meaning shut up.
"You are going to the Dark Side and you will join me, which is why I will teach you to be one with the darkness. Whip this boy or I will make you."
I said.Rey stared at me in horror.
"W-what? Y-you want me t-to whip him?" She stuttered.
The boy breathed heavily beside me. I kneeled down so that we were eye to eye. Or eye to mask in that matter.
"What is your name?" I asked.
"G-Gyro sir." He whimpered.
"Gyro are you hurt?" I asked.
"Y-yes sir." He said.
I nodded.
I gestured at Rey.
"This is my friend Rey. I've asked her to handle the whipping in exchange for something nice. If you were in her shoes and I asked you to whip her for something grand, would you do it?"
Gyro seemed to ponder this before bobbing his head wearily. I stood up.
"See Rey? It's okay. He would do the same if he were in your shoes. So go on, then you may get your prize." I sneered.
"But..."
"DO IT!" I yelled. She was completely and utterly annoying when she was this persistent.
Rey hesitated before standing behind Gyro. Her black robes fluttered in the wind. The crowd behind us was quiet, waiting to see if Rey would do it, and she did. She slashed and slashed. I watched as her soft eyes went dark and cruel. Her slashing became more passionate and grueling. Gyro screamed in pain.
I stopped Rey.
"That's enough." I said, snatching the whip from her hands and tossing it to the ground. I then kneeled back down to Gyro. Tears were streaming down his face, his breathing heavier than last time.
"Thank you Gyro, for cooperating." I said.
I got up and twisted my arm around Rey's waist and pulled her along with me.
*Rey POV*
I sat atop the house again, hugging my knees. I cried and cried and cried. He brought out the dark in me. But I needed to do as he said. I needed him to trust me so that I could go find my friends. It was very hard when he was so convincing and handsome."Very nice today. I'm very proud." He said, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"I...I hurt him." I whimpered.
"That was the point. I'm very proud of what I saw today. I could practically feel the darkness radiating off of you." He said.
"But...I hurt him." I whispered.
He rubbed my back, soothingly. I looked up at him. He was staring at me intently. He was so handsome in this light. He has removed his robes and only his shirt and leggings were out. His muscles flexed as they went up and down my back.
"You know, I thought it would be a lot harder to train, especially since Master Luke has gotten through to you." He said.
I nodded. All of sudden his hand was on my cheek, making me look at him. I could tell my face was probably as red as planet Mustafar.
"Rey, you don't have to pretend anymore. I know you feel it too." He said sternly.
I tried to pull from his grasp, but he was too strong.
"I-I don't know w-what your talking about." I stuttered.
Well that's I lie. I knew exactly what he was talking about. I felt it too.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. Rey, I-I can't be here. Not as long as we're like this. And you know it. Don't deny it." He said.
"I-I really don't know what your talking about. Ben your scaring me." I whispered.
"Stop it! Stop saying that! That's not my name!"
It was silent. We stared at each other, his gaze fixating me.
"My father was the only one who I would be completely okay with calling me that." He said lowering his voice.
"I'm sorry." I whispered.
"Rey..."
"Yes?"
"Call me Ben." He said.
All of a sudden he was crying on my shoulder. His hot breath tickling my neck. I combed my fingers through his hair, shushing him like a mother to her child.
"Rey?" He said sitting up.
"Yes?" I replied softly.
"Love me?"
Then his lips pressed against mine. It wasn't aggressive or pushy. It was soft and kind, like he really meant it. He tangled his fingers in my hair, while his other hand clutched my waist. I wrapped my arms around his neck as we shared this passionate kiss.
