Screams. The thing is, they weren't from me. Running. The footsteps weren't mine. Fear. That was mine, I could tell. Hiding under the tree from that psycho! How this happened? Well, let's start from the beginning.
-Flashback-
Christian was going after me again. Third time this week. I was just walking home. He ran up behind me and pushed me into the bushes, instantly pinning me to frozen ground. He pinned my arms above my head. Leaning down slowly with that angered face. "You embarrassed me in front of the school with that little stunt, Princess. So I'm gonna have to teach cha' a lesson."
My mind screamed and my gut told me to do one thing. So I did it.
I kneed him in the balls.
He screamed and grabbed his hurt region, rolling off of my trembling body. I came to realization as he started to mumble. I jumped to my feet and dash somewhere for cover. The forest, it's the closest thing. My parents were always warning me about the tall man who settled there, but I didn't care right now. I needed to get away. Jogging, running, then sprinting.Run.
Run.
RUN!
All that went through my head was that word. Hide! I stopped and skidded on the forest floor while looking for somewhere to hide. There! The tree has an abnormally large hole under it. I dash and skid into the large hole.
-End-
And here we are. Female screams and the sounds of footsteps getting closer to me. "Come out for me princess~" he said with the smirk poring out of his lust filled voice. Looking out from under the large tree, I saw a teenager jump onto Christian. He was dark, but a gleam of silver and orange caught my eye. A blood curdling scram of a male was heard. It was Christian. My heart was risen with hope, but quickly realized that the reason why he was screaming was because someone was killing him.
I shrank back into the hole hoping, no praying that the killer didn't notice me. The shadowed figure stood up and walked off in the other direction. I let out the breath that I was holding in and began to crawl out of my comfort zone. Standing up, I began to walk. Only to be stopped by a silver blur and my sleeve stapled to the tree.
I went to scream but was stopped by a gloved hand. Rough of leather rubbed against my soft lips and (s/c) cheeks. My eyes widen with fear and terror. He stared at me with his large orange goggles staring into my (e/c) eyes. "N-Now now. We can't have y-you screaming in my f-forest can't w-we?" He used his other hand it lift up his goggles just to get a better look at me I guess. His eyes were a deep brown. They were filled with sorrow and pain. Large dark circles formed in pools under his deep voided eyes. I can tell, he hadn't slept well in what seemed like years. I slowly lost the fear that I held before and it slowly turned into sympathy. I could tell just by looking into his deep forest brown eyes that he was tired of his pain.
My eyes began to water as I reached out and gripped his shirt, bringing him into a tight warm hug. His eyes widen with shock, he had no idea why this girl was hugging him. He could tell that she wasn't scared. He felt like she knew his pain.
I sobbed into his hoodie. Leaking out my pain and hopefully his too. I felt the hatchet bring ripped out of the trunk and myself falling into his chest. My hug grew tighter, surprised by his next action as I felt his arms slowly snake around my waist in a strong hug. My fear was gone. My strength appeared as I realized that I had someone to help me through this, and I didn't even know his name.
