“And… that’s a wrap! Good job guys! You can go home now. Take care!” direk Joyce said as we end our last shoot for our upcoming movie.
It’s almost 11:00pm and I sighed in relief and tiredness because it had been a loooooooonnngggg day for us. Taping dito, shooting doon. Halos wala na nga kameng tulog.
Kame.
My eyes instantly scanned the crowd. There she is. Still looking fresh and vibrant. Still bubbly and lively after a tiring day. And that is what I admire about her. She keeps me going. Lagi niyang pinapagaan yung trabaho namin. Basta andyan siya, it seems like we’re not working at all.
My thoughts were cut as I notice her walking towards me. I stiffened and plastered the sweetest smile I can.
“Hey” I said.
“Hey” she replied. “Xi, uhm, pwedeng favor? Pasabay naman ako pauwi. Nasiraan kasi yung van sabi ni Manong Dave tapos si Ate Portia may ibang lakad pa daw. So, sayo lang talaga ako pwedeng makisabay since on the way lang din naman.
So pleaaassseeee?” she said pleading.
Tell me, how could I resist those puppy eyes and that smile of hers? That’s my biggest weakness man!
“Osige, sige. Pero ililibre mo ko ha?” I said teasingly.
“Sure! Ibibili kita ng peanutbutter and milo! Hahahaha! Thanks Xi! Ikaw talaga ang Xi-avior ko!” she said laughing.
I smiled at her joke, “Ikaw, ang corny mo. Pasalamat ka at peanutbutter at milo ko ang nakataya dito. Kaya tara na.” We both laughed as we headed to my car.
This girl, she really knows my weaknesses. :)

We’ve been driving for a while now. It’s quite a long ride you know, from Laguna to QC. I sneak a quick glance at her sitting next to me. She already had her eyes close. Ang himbing ata ng tulog niya.
“Napapagod ka rin pala. Ang lakas mo pa humilik!” I said jokingly knowing she’s deep asleep.
I was a bit startled when I heard her lazily say, “Hoy, narinig ko ‘yun. Di pa ako tulog noh. At lalong di ako humihilik.”
I laughed as she twitch, switching position –facing the car window.
“Sige na. Matulog ka na. Mahaba pa naman ang biyahe.” I told her knowing she’s tired, hearing a hint of exhaustion in her voice.
