Hunter

Darkness, dust and artefacts. Old ones too. That's all i saw when i woke up from my slumber. The last thing i could remember was a forest, a dark one. And sure enough, I'm still in it, only that I'm now in a shack. I took a look around the shack and found a few things interesting. There were old knick knacks and artefacts that were here for...probably centuries, the whole shack was barren and old, but the thing that caught my interest the most was the man beside the window, holding out what appears to be, some sort of ranged weapon. Double barrels, two holes, with his finger close to the trigger. He had some sort of gothic, vampire hunter-ish gear on him. And i could only see bits of pale skin and his long, pitch black hair.  He seems to have noticed my movements too since he turned to look at me.

"Aye, finally woken up. To be honest, i would've mistook you for dead if you slept for another day" The Outlander said, in a silent, yet strong tone. "Honestly, couldn't you have found a better place to crashland to? This isn't the most hospitable forest in the continent, especially with Ghoul Season coming round the corner" He said, seeming to complain a bit. "Ghoul Season?" i asked him. "Aye, correct. I see them walking around the forest for days. Although, i can't do anything about it without having dozens, probably hundreds of those gray skinned, lanky and ghostly looking, soul eating bastards tearing this shack faster than you can pray to whatever god you believe in." He said, informing me of the ghouls.

"That's a nice...way to put what's gonna happen. Anyways, who are you?" I asked the man. "Well, I'm no different than you. I'm an adventurer, well, more specifically, a monster hunter. Mostly specializing in killing monsters in the greatest, fastests or bloodiest ways possible. And this beauty is no exception." He said, showing off his weapon. "They call this a "Shotgun". Two barrels where i can put these shells in, i pull the trigger and BAM! You'll see bits of gore and a gratuitous amount of blood flying from your prey. Quick, effective and deadly. Simple as that".

"Never seen this type of fire arm before. I've only seen Bows, Crossbows and Pistols" I said, taking a close look at his Shotgun. "Now that i told you about me, how about you tell me about you? Specifically, why did you come to a forest like this?" The hunter asked, Glaring at me. "Well, i don't really know why Im in this forest. And how did you know about the fact that I'm an Adventurer?" I asked in return. "Well, i could tell by the clothes. Red and blue leather armor, a cape to go with it, and a bag of goodies to go along with it. Nothing special about your appearance, except from that gauntlet of yours." The Hunter said, looking at my gauntlet. My gauntlet seems to be shining in different glows. Mostly a yellow glow. "Tell me kid, where'd ya get that from?" He asked me, with curiosity in his tone. "Well, it was a gift from my father. He said he took this gauntlet with him throughout his whole career. It never failed to help him...i've yet to get help from this..thing, but i keep it around on my left arm as a lucky charm" I explained, looking at the gauntlet. "Ye can't be taking a piece of armor around as a lucky charm. If it's a piece of armor, use it" He said, while looking out the window. He then noticed a ghoul slowly walking towards the shack. "Well crap, one of the ghouls are heading straight for us. Kid, do yourself and myself a favor and run out of this forest now. Get your gear ready and sprint. This could get messy" He ordered as he started to move his finger on the trigger.

I followed his order and get everything ready as i sprinted out of the shack and (hopefully) find a way out of this forest. Even at my position, and even if i was a few miles away from the shack, i heard a gun shot as loud as if it was next to my ear. It seems to have attracted the ghouls as dozens of them are all heading towards the shack, while they're hungry, they don't seem to have noticed my presence. Naturally i took this opportunity to run away as far as i can, leaving the Hunter behind. After 14 minutes of wandering (which, might i add, felt like hours), i finally escaped the forest and i could see the bright, starry night sky. While i was outside, i could see a bright, and illuminating kingdom. And close to me was a magical, glowing tower. I've decided to head to the tower and stay there for the rest of the night. Although, i sure hope the Hunter is still alive...after all that mess
