Samantha
college.
some people dread the word, I however have been waiting for this day my entire life.
"promise you'll call every night before bed." my mom said blocking the doorway.
"oh yeah sure mom." I say rolling my eyes trying to shove my way out the guarded opening.
"Samantha I mean it, I'm gonna miss you." she says firmly beginning to tear up.
I sigh finding sympathy for her and drop my things to embrace her. I know sometimes my mom can be a bit overwhelming but she means well and I am her oldest daughter. although I probably won't ever tell her, I will miss her dearly.
"I promise I'll call you every night mom." I say into her hair.
we separate so I can grab my things and head to my truck. my step dad appears in the doorway with my two younger brothers to say their goodbyes to me.
"be safe sweet heart." my step dad calls out as my brothers fight over who gets my room and I laugh.
I close the car door and begin my long journey from California to king's college in London.

As I arrive at the airport it seems as if their a couple hundred college students crowding the area. I am greeted by a brunette prep as she beams with self confidence, it makes me want to barf.
" hi! my names Becky and I will be your college bff and faithful tour guide!" she says with the biggest brightest smile that anyone could ever possibly manage.
"uh thanks?" I say shoving earphones in my ears.
"If there is anything you need any questions you have I'm you girl!"
"Will do.."
"do you have any family in London?"
"no, anymore questions?" I say abruptly.
"well I'm going to be over here if you need anything remember my names Becky, and yours is?"
"Sam"
"nice meeting you, Sam." she winks and I roll my eyes.
I walk towards the gate hoping the plane will be leaving soon but to my dismay (thanks to my amazing sense of organization) I am hour early. I let a gust of air past my lips and decide to go relax until the plane leaves.
As I walk to the seating area I am knocked over by a giant male being and go toppling to the ground.
"hey-" I stop.
I come face to face with a glowing pair of emerald eyes and a mop of chocolate brown curls. my breath hitches to a halt and suddenly I don't seem to breathing at all.
