Chapter 1

Journal entry 1: January 1st 2016 11:30pm
I escaped my father, I'm in my room right now with my door locked. I put my bed against my door just in case. I have nothing to live for... Why is life doing this to me? If god exists then why hasn't he saved me yet? I don't know anymore, oh shit he's banging on the door yelling 'let me in!' I have to go...

"Let me in!!" Xena's father yelled banging his hands on the door "you little bitch" he banged once more then left with the sound of boots going down the stairs. Tears fell from Xena's eyes, she breathed a breath of relief and whispered to herself 'its going to be ok ...'. Xena lay on her bed holding her pillow close to her chest. She looked across the room a dresser. She looked at the dresser there was a picture of Xena, her Father, and her Mom. Xena cried harder as she looked at the picture. She missed her Mom. Xena grabbed her journal which was at the foot side of her bed and she began writing...

Journal Entry 2: January 2nd 2016 12:00 am
My father left, or if that's what I should even call him anymore.. I still have the bruises from the last time he hit me.. I was looking at the old picture of me, my mom, and my father we were so happy! I guess happiness doesn't last forever. I should probably go to sleep its 12:10am crap!
