No! No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!!! T-t-t-this cannot be happening… I-I-it has to be some kind of sick dream. Yeah that’s it! It’s all a dream, a cruel and twisted dream. There is no way that Kevin could be texting me, it’s just not possible. He hates me and I hate him and why would you text someone you hate? It’s just plain stupid… then again Kevin’s stupid, so I guess it does kinda make sense, but still. I haven’t seen or heard from him since… that night.
**FLASHBACK**

I flicked my head around and smiled when I saw Joe leaning against the doorframe.
Miley – "Hey loser."
Joe – "’Sup freak?"
He sniggered and hopped up onto my counter.
Joe – "So where’s he taking you?"
Miley – "Some fancy schmancy restaurant in Beverly Hills that’s supposed to be uber exclusive," I answered as I applied some blush to my cheeks.
Joe – "Sounds romantic."
Miley – "Yup, I’m so excited!" I squeaked.
Joe – "Gee never woulda guessed that."
Miley – "Your sarcasm has been noted."
Joe smirked and I rolled my eyes, then started to rummage through my make up case to find my lipstick.
Joe – "Miles?"
Miley – "Yeah?"
Joe – "Can I tell you something?"
Miley – "Of course, you know you can tell me anything."
He hopped off of the counter and came and stood behind me. He rubbed my shoulders softly and looked at me in the mirror.
Joe – "Smiley, you know you’re my best friend in the whole entire world right?"
Miley – "Right."
Joe – "And you know how we promised to tell each other everything?"
Miley – "Uh huh."
Joe – "Well there’s something I’ve wanted to tell you for a long time. I just wasn’t sure how."
Miley – "And that is?"
He opened his mouth, but before the words could come out, Selena came streaking into the bathroom.
