"I fell in love with him the way the moon fell in love with the sun. Dying every night just to let her breathe." It was wrong to feel that for him. But it feels so right.
My kidnappers had been old drug smugglers. Proud at what they did.
My wrists had been restrained behind me, and the sound of an engine roared beneath me. How cliché. I was stuck in a vehicle.
The car ride was long, and probably would have seemed longer if I hadn't been asleep. They handled me as if I was fragile art work worth millions. Carried over ones shoulder and brought to another mystery place. I had been placed down eventually, and the rope holding my wrists had been removed. First place my hands went were to my eyes. There was no blindfold. I rubbed around my eyes, but I still couldn't see. There was nothing covering them. You're blind Ryleigh, the mirror. I was praying this was all a nightmare.
Warmth spread through my cheeks, and their breath hit my face. I reached up and felt around for a face. Darkness. The only thing my brain registered to do was panic. "Why can't I see?" The tears burned the back of my eyes and begged for release. Their hands moved from my face and I heard someone walking in the opposite direction. "What did you do to her?" Someone's mad. His angry voiced boomed and echoed throughout the room, causing me to shake in fear. "Her head smashed into a mirror. It's not that big of a deal." A scared shaky voice came from where the footsteps wondered off to. "She's fucking blind! Not that big of a deal? If she wasn't in here I'd shoot all of you in the head." Ryleigh get out of there. My legs moved on their own. Taking control and going anywhere they could. I was close to peeing myself at how his voice laced with venom.
"Where are you off to little one?" His voice made me immediately stop in my tracks. We're so dead.
