Don't Be a Danny

My phone starts ringing, I answer it "hello?" "Rose, you need to come home and watch your sister for me." my mother says as I end the call and stand up. "Hey, Hunter I got to go watch my sister" I say looking down. "Want any help?" I look up at him smiling  "sure." We walk with our Starbucks in one hand and our other hand in hand.Walking inside with Hunter behind me I yell "mom I'm home, and I brought a friend!" She comes around the corner all dressed up "oh, who might you be?" she says looking at Hunter. "Hi I'm Hunter." My mom looks at me then back  at Hunter. "Are you two like dating?" "No mom! He's just a friend!" I stammer as I grab Hunter's hand pulling him beside me instead of leaving him behind me. "Where's Blake?" My mom  dares to ask. "Uhm, we broke up" I state sternly looking down. "Oh. Well, I'm going to be late. Bye kids! BEHAVE!" She says running out the door. I pull Hunter over to the living room. Turning the corner I spot Melody. She's sitting at her play table watching Disney Jr. Okay, fine by me. I once again pull Hunter over to the couch, sitting with him. I want to watch a movie. Grabbing the remote, I turn on the TV going on Netflix. As I see grease, I'm a sucker for Grease. I play it, putting the remote down as the movie starts. About fifteen minutes into the movie Melody starts crying. Grabbing the remote and pausing it I say, "Melody shush I'm trying to watch a movie." I play the movie again and she is still crying. Pausing it once again, I get up, walking over to her "are you kiddin me Melody, what is your problem?" "I don't like this moviee." She whines. "Hey look at my face! This is a face that doesn't care. Go take a nap or something." I say pointing to the hallway as she runs to her room. I walk back over to the couch, almost sitting on Hunter. Watching the movie, I lay my head on Hunter's shoulder as he puts his arm around me, and we sit there like that for a while. Let me tell you something, watching my favorite movie with the guy I'm falling for is absolutely fantastic.
