Chapter1-RellasPOV
I looked across room, Sam was dancing with Racer, a seventeen year old in our pack. Since we didnt get close to anyone Sam messed with all the guys heads. She makes them think she likes them, but really she just wants support from more then one person. It sounds selfish but she really isnt. Racer was a kind of bad boy I guess you could call it. In our world anyways. All those fakes in the humans world didnt know what tough was if it knocked them in the head and gave them a concusion. Sam winked at me while Racer went to go get her soemthing to drink. "Hot as hell but dumb as a donkey." she laughed, sitting down next to me. She studied my face, wondering if something was up. Sadly, there was. And sadly, she could tell. "Rell! Whats up?! You could be dancing with one of these guys. Pick one Ill get themt o like you." she smiled, hoping to use her power. I wanted to slap her, but I wasnt going to. I didnt like to fight, but sometimes Sam made it too hard. She sighed in defeat. "Rella! You cant just sit aroudn this town until your called on! We only get these small dances for the 'youngens' once a year!" she complained. I shook my head and sat their slumped against my chair. I thought 'Maybe I could go outside, Sam wouldnt notice my absence.' I smiled to myself at the idea. I loved outside. The breeze hitting my face, blowing my waist length hair around me. Sam had hair down to right below her chest. I couldnt stand that short of hair, my long hair was important to me. I felt relaxed with it. Or maybe I just felt like myself. "No... no no no no no no" Sam repeated over and over. She had read my thought about going outside. "I would notice! Im not self-conceeded! I love you Rella! Id come after you anytime!" she reassured me. I was happy to know she cared, even though she'd told me a million times. "I know your not self absorbed." I smiled, hugging her. Five minutes later she was back with her boy-toy.
After the party was over, Sam was kissing Racer and I yet again was sitting alone and sleepy. "Rella?? Hey Rell. You alive? Earth to Rell...Earth to Rell!" I heard faintly. I shook my head and saw Sam's hand in front of my face. "Get that thing away from my eyeballs woman." I said pushing it down onto the chair. "Sorry, well you were spacing out again as always. Well, you ready to go?" She asked. I looked over and saw Racer with his hands around her waist. I tried to roll my eyes but was too tired to even try. "Yeah. You guys get ready and finish your kissing before we go back to the house. I'll be outside if you need me." I said getting up and walking out the door. "Hey! Wait up!" Sam yelled behind me. I heard murmuring behind me, and two pairs of feet running after me. I walked to the trees and bent down waiting for them to reach me. "God, didnt you hear me?" Sam said walking up behind me. Racer was next to her, but thankfully not touching her in any way. "Yeah i heard you." I said. 'Why is he here? I thought he was going to go.' I thought, knowing Sam was reading my mind. "Oh come on Rella. Lets just go already." she told me rolling her eyes. I looked at her and raised my eyebrows. 'Again? Sam! You know you hurt them right?' Once we were a decent distance from Racer Sam said: "I dont trust me. I try to make them feel nothing. Like it was a game to them and Im the one thats hurt." Her sincere voice made me believe her. She actually wasnt using her power to make me feel this way. When she found what her power was she promised to never controll me. I was thankful for that, I wouldnt have someone making me clean their room, or doing the dishes. 'Sam... why do you do it?' I asked, once again knowing she was reading my mind. "I... Im not sure okay? But that isnt the point... The point right now is..." All of a sudden a wolf with yellow eyes appeared. I automatically knew he was from the North. I saw Sam glare at him, not just any glare... but that glare that says: Back off before I rip your heart out. Her eyes were already glowing a vicious color. The wolf in front of us gave a loud growl, in a way it looked like he would be smirking if he were in his human form, setting Sam into attack mode. If a lycan gets angry enough they cant controll whether they change or not. Sam must have been reading his mind, and he must have been thinking something to make her angry enough. Sam has almost practically mastered anger and her changing. Only something REALLY bad could get her like this. She growled at the wolf... getting ready to attack. 'Stop! Before an Elder see's you!' I thought to her. She looked up at me, giving the wolf a chance to jump on her. "No!" I yelled, a gust of wind b;ew the wolf back. I realized I had put my hand up. I had made the wind blow. And I had almost gotten us in trouble. The wwolf whimpered as Sam changed back into her human form. The last thing to go was her glowing eyes. She was still mad. The wolf quickly ran into the forest. "He... he was after..." I cut her off quickly wanting to know what he was thinking. "Elders? Armies? Powers? TELL ME WOMAN!" I begged her. she looked at me with a face I had never seen on her before. It was a mix of sadness and fright. "Us." It was barely a whisper. I froze in place.
