Chapter 1

"Atasha, I told you that you need to have a break at least a week. Why won't you listen to me? You're drowning yourself with work." Her mother nags at her all over again. It's the same words her mother would tell her everytime she visit her in the office.

She looks at her mom with bored face.

"Mom, I'm enjoying my work. Can't you see?"

Her mom looked at her with worried look. "But darling, how about only three days? Have time for yourself. Don't worry about your business. I'm sure Janine will took good care of it. Please? Bigyan mo naman ng oras ang sarili mo anak. You've been working for the past 5 years non-stop."

"Okay, fine mom. I will. Happy now?" Cecilia's face lit up upon hearing what her daughter said.

"Salamat naman anak. You don't know how much you made me happy."

Lumapit ang mommy niya sa kanya at niyakap. Napailing nalang si Atasha sa kanyang ina.

"And since, magbabakasyon ka na. I must be going, alright? Set it sooner anak para naman you'll enjoy it. Okay? See you later at home. I'll cook your favorite!" Her mom kissed her and then stormed out of the room smiling.

"Hay naku! Si mommy talaga." Iiling iling na turan niya at saka pinagpatuloy ang pag review ng inventories para sa cakes and pastries shop niya.

Atasha is on her way home and very stuck in the traffic. It's always her routine. She's off at 7 pm from her shop and will be forever in the highway. She put her phone on bluetooth mode and called her mom.

After a couple of rings her mom picks up the phone.

"Hello ma, traffic na naman. So maybe I'll go home late na naman. But I'll find alternative routes for me to be able to go home early. And can you please put on speaker phone and let me talk to Kisha and Arkin?"

"Okay sandali lang. Tatawagin ko lang sila."

She can hear her mom on the background calling for Kisha and Arkin.

"Here they are."

"Hey Mommy, what time you'll be home?" It was her daughter Kisha who's on the phone.

"Yes, Mom, what time?" Seconded by Arkin.

"Darlings, mama will be home surely, I just don't know what time. I'm stuck in the traffic. Just have fun there at your granny's okay? And we'll go home tomorrow." She explained to her kids.

"Alright, we will just wait for you Mommy. I love you and miss you mama." It was Arkin. He was the sweetest.

"And I love mama, too. I love you mommy and I miss you too." Hindi magpapatalong turan ng anak niyang babae. She chuckled and responded to them.

"Mommy loves you both. Alright, magpakabait kayo jan."

"Opo mama." They chorused.

She ended the call and just concentrate on the highway. She let out a heavy sigh. Remembering how she got pregnant at an early age.

"Ja, gusto kong kumain ng any food basta vanilla flavor." Yaya ni Atasha sa kaibigang si Janine.

"Hay naku Atasha ha! Pang anm na aya mo na yan sakin ngayong araw. Di ka ba nagsasawa sa kakakain? Tingnan mo oh, tumataba ka na!" Nakabusangot na sabi ni Janine sa kanya.

"Eh sige na, please? Best friend naman kita eh. Pagbigyan mo na ako." Nagsusumamong tugon nito sa kaibigan.

"Okay, fine. May magagawa ba ko. Libre mo ha? Hala tara sige pumunta tayo sa Mall. Tutal wala na namang pasok!"
