Ch 1: Most Wanted

I felt the wind on my face as I ran through the dark forest. It's extremely realistic for a VR game, I thought. An arrow whisked past me. They're still following me? Jeez it's hard to lose these guys...Guess I have no choice but to turn hostile... Heh, I kinda feel bad for them.

I whispered a quick spell and felt my body tingle as my visible form vanished from sight. I quickly ran behind a tree and waited for my prey. As I heard their footsteps I realized they weren't very stealthy, how did I not know they weren't gone before? Oh well, here they come. 

"Hunting party, stop!" that must be the leader. The party did stop, perfect for my expertise, stealth. As I assessed my situation I saw that there are 6 of them. I whispered, "child's play" then skirted around the edge of where they stopped to come up behind a dual-wielder. I pulled out my dagger Light-Drinker while putting my hand over his mouth, then I let the blade slip between his ribs on his right side straight into his heart. 5. Dragging his body behind a tree, I noticed the other party members were too focused on finding me that they didn't know one of their members were missing so I used that to my advantage and repeated the process twice. An archer. 4. A novice paladin. 3. I decided to have fun with the last three and pulled out my two 'Gilderglass' swords, the only two ever made in this game as they are a personal creation of mine, and canceled out my invisibility spell.

"So, you've come for me?" I said walking out from behind a tree looking straight at the leader. He widened his eyes. "Reaver..." He looked absolutely terrified. So naturally I laughed.

"Of course, you were chasing me yeah? Why go for me when you're scared? Did you hope to get a lucky arrow in my back? Not gonna happen." I smiled hysterically.

"I-I'm not scared, and no that's not the case, we were actually hoping to fight you head on and get your loot along with the bounty on you." He shifted uncomfortably.

"Oh  really? And how do you plan to do that?" 

"Well there's six of us and only-"

"Three." I smiled again.

"No, there are..." Then he realized that three of his members were missing. "What did you do with them?!"

"Oh you know, a dagger through the back of the heart. It's kinda sad, you didn't even know they were gone" He just looked at me with his jaw slack and the other two were battle-ready. I laughed. "Well, we might as well get this started." and one with a broadsword rushed me and swung overhead while I side-stepped and said, "Ooh this one's got guts." and looked directly at the leader smiling as I literally revealed the broadsword wielder's internal organs. He fell forward and laid still. 2. The leader took a step back while the other, a girl with a shortsword ran towards me yelling, "He was my best friend!" I smiled once more... Man, smiling is beginning to become a bad habit, but I guess it adds to my image so it doesn't matter.

 "And I see this one has heart." Grinning, I blocked a swipe to my right side then quickly parried the one coming for my left side. Oh, mistake on her part she's leaving her non-dominant arm open. I swiped my right side sword and hit her left arm directly, severing it. She screamed and dropped her sword to throw her arm up to where her other arm used to be. I took a step towards her and dropped my left sword to put my hand under her chin. "You're good looking, maybe you could join me, after you lose that heart." I shoved my blade directly into the said organ. She looked at me with disbelief then fell as I slid my blade out. 1. I looked at the leader.

"Your turn." I bent down to pick up my other sword and found him already rushing me. Smart. Attack when your opponent is vulnerable. Too bad that's not the case here. As soon as I wrapped my left hand on the other sword, I swept my leg out, tripping him. when he got to his knees, he found two blades at his neck and he looked up at me saying, "You little-" But he was cut off literally as his head hit the ground, his body falling the other way. "Weak...all weak. Well that takes care of that." 

Now to get to the meeting spot... Oh great... I forgot which way I was going. 

"OH COME ON!!!"
