Everything went so well. He finally had a family that loved him. He loved them too even though he would never say that out loud in front of them.
He had a friend. It's true that he could be a real idiot sometimes but he was there for him whenever he needed someone. They insulted each other quite a lot too but still.
And then he lost everyone. Yu was once again left alone this time with an even bigger wound in his soul that would never fully heal.
His adopted family members disappeared from his life one by one. Even Mika left him. They was all happy without him with their new families and no one cared if he felt lonely, if he cried himself to sleep a hundred times. He just couldn't be glad that they found a new home.
Now he was 16. Four years had passed. A lot of things happened to him. He left the orphanage, he started attending a high school where he met with Guren Ichinose (Idiot Guren...) and he had a job too.
But he never let anyone to close anymore.
Our story starts on a a Friday afternoon. Yu was in detention for kicking the ass of some guy who provoked him.
"He started it..." the black-haired boy huffed. "I can't believe it..."
He looked up when he heard the door open. A girl walked in. Her long lavender hair was pinned up at the back with a purple bow. She had side braids and large copper eyes.
She flashed a smile at Yu and sat down to the desk next to him.
"You must be Yu-san." she said. Yu growled a 'yeah' and turned away. "I'm Shinoa Hiiragi and I'm your supervisor."
"My what?"
"Supervisor. If you don't cooperate, I will report it and your punishment will be extended."
The boy stared at her in disbelief.
"By the way, since you seem to have no intention to cooperate, it has been decided that your punishment will come to an end only once you managed to make friends in this school."
Why him? Just why?

They spent the rest of the detention sitting in complete silence. Yu was glaring out of the window with his arms crossed over his chest. Shinoa watched him smiling and sometimes she made notes.
When finally it was over Yu made his way to entrance gate. The girl followed him.
"Are you really going to follow me?"
"Of course. It's my job, after all."
They were just about to exit when a guy with medium length brown hair and large, dark green eyes reached the ground face first in front of them blocking the way. He was lying there whimpering for a few seconds before he slowly rose onto his feet with the help of the two.
"What the hell happened to you again, Yoichi?" Yu asked.
Yoichi Saotome was a classmate of his. Their seats were next to each other. Yoichi always did his best to befriend Yu. He always started stupid conversations about something that just popped into his mind, followed the guy to places where he prefered to go alone and sat next to him in the cafeteria. It all started a few months ago when they were paired up for a project.
At first, Yoichi's behaviour bothered Yu a lot but after some time he got used to it. It's not like he let him to be his friend he just gave up on telling him every single day to get lost.
