When the morning came, Arturia woke up with a goal fixated in her head: Fuyuki. But how? How to get there without any mean of transport?
Walking upon the streets, she noticed people looking at her weirdly. Well, she couldn't blame them, now could she? A blond woman, walking barefoot with only a thin long white dress covering her frail body. Which- was so confusing and odd. She never felt that weak and so hungry.
Suddenly, someone hit her with their shoulder, causing her to lose her balance and fall on the hard concrete. When she looked up, a glare already set on her eyes, she was met with a bloody red pair of eyes, and beautiful golden hair. A man dressed bizarrely, with some red and white sheets of tissue covering his torso, and lower region, jewels around his neck, and barefoot.
The tall man smirked, looking at her with an amused glint in his eyes.
"Ar- cher..?" She said with a little voice, disbelief in her eyes, gaping at the man before her.
It was Gilgamesh, the Archer Class Heroic Spirit from the Forth Holy Grail War and also, the one who has got beaten up by her at the Fifth War.
"What a surprise! Seeing you here is the best thing that has happened till I became human." Said Gilgamesh, his eyes reflecting a mischievous gaze that she couldn't quite understand.
The first thing that came into her mind was the marriage proposition from that man. Give up on that dream of yours, and become my wife. Gilgamesh had ordered-- yes ordered, her to become his wife before she destroyed the Grail Cup in the Forth War with her Noble Phantasm.
"What are you doing here? And what do you mean by till I became human?" She asked, narrowing her eyes at him.
"Oh my, you and your angry look. It never leaves your eyes, does it?"
She stood up, facing him- well, more like straining her neck in an awkward angle to look at him, and avoid the passing pedestrians at the same time. "Just answer me." Said Arturia, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Well, this is not the appropriate place to talk, and if you haven't noticed already, all those mongrels are staring at us, and knowing you, this could turn into a fight. Even if I really don't want to have a fight with you Saber.. I mean, Arturia." Said Gilgamesh with a smirk.
The way her name rolled out of his mouth made Arturia shiver in disgust. But when she took a look around her, she realised that the man was right. Everyone was looking at them with curious eyes, whispering about them.
She took a breath before replying. "Very well, let's go somewhere else. But seeing you like this means that you don't have a place where to stay either, am I wrong?" She said, arching an eyebrow.
Gilgamesh looked at her with annoyance. "Huh? Who's talking here? Pretending to be The King of Kights, but lost her balance at the second she crashed with a stranger." She huffed.
"What? What's this to do with--? Ugh just- let us go! Shall we?" Said Arturia with anguish, exasperated with the King's childishness.
They went to a small park where there were children playing and having fun. When Arturia saw them playing around with wooden and plastic swords; unconsciously, a large smile madeit's way on her lips, and a sad look on her eyes.
Gilgamesh noticed that smile, and a confused look drawn its way on his face. It was the first time he saw her smiling, a true smile.
He also noticed something, she wasn't wearing her armour; only dressed in a beautiful white, long dress, with her hair down. She was just gorgeous. His cheeks turned to a light reddish shade. But it disappeared the second she looked at him and asked. "What?"
"No-nothing, let's have a seat there."
When they finally sat down, Arturia started speaking. "Alright, tell me what happened with you."
Gilgamesh put one leg over the other, took a breath and said. "I was asleep, and when I woke up, I found myself here in Osaka, in the middle of the night. The last thing I remember before this was your mongrel of a Master ordering you by using his Command Seal to destroy the Grail Cup, and the brightness of your sword. Then, a sort of black mud fell on me and it covered all my body. And then, I woke up in here."
Then Gilgamesh's eyes landed on Arturia's and he asked her. "What about you? What happened to you?"
"The exact same thing." Answered Arturia, her eyes widening a little. What in he world was happening to them?
Arturia, after analysing the situation decided to suggest something. "We both don't know who summoned us, and we both don't have anywhere to stay. The Grail War usually happens in the city of Fuyuki. We may have some answers if we go there. Besides, the Einzbern's Castle is near Fuyuki. We could stay there." Suggested Arturia.
Gilgamesh thought that it might be quite interesting, and gratefully accepted the proposition.
"The thing is that I still don't know how to get there without money, and with these clothes.." Said Arturia in confusion, looking down at her attire.
Gilgamesh looked at her and smirked. "You forgot something, King of Knights. I have the possibility of dematerialization. I can take you where ever you want to go."
"Well that's great! Let's go--" Said Arturia but suddenly interrupted by the man next to her. "Hang on there, Arturia. I never said that I would take you, now did I?" He said, a mischievous smirk on his face.
Arturia glared at him, took a breath and said. "What do you want, Archer?"
Gilgamesh looked at her with amusement and responded. "Well, firstly, stop calling me by my Class name, we're not Heroic Spirits anymore. I'm Gilgamesh. Secondly, I'm going to follow you where ever you go, and no 'Don't, Stop, Go..' And don't worry about what happened back in the war, I won't oblige you for marrying me anymore, until you ask for by yourself." He concluded with a grin.
Arturia, breathless, didn't know what to say. She opened her mouth to start yelling at him, but she closed it the second after to open it again and say. "Alright then, we have a deal."
Gilgamesh, with an amused smile on his face, nodded. He stood up, offered her his right hand so they can dematerialize. She hesitated at first but, after a breath, held his bigger, and stronger hand.
Gilgamesh was surprised by the softness of her hand. The same hand that held the legendary Excalibur. The same hand that fought in deadly battles and killed so many before. It's going to be interesting.
And suddenly, they vanished.
