Its been 3 weeks since I broke up with Andy. I'm handling it pretty well. My birthday is in 2 days and I'm sooooooo excited. Honestly, I'm thinking about everything but Andy.
I have planned to go to the mall with Jessi and then invite anybody who wants to come to go midnight bowling with us. I'm so excited. I don't really care who shows up as long as Jessi is there to spend my birthday with me. We have been friends forever.
--my birthday--
"What do you think of this?" I came out of the changing room in a black and white dress. It was a little higher above my knees than my dresses usually are, but I liked it. The top of the dress was all back with little lines across it, the bottom half was black and white plaid. The dress was thick, great for the colder weather.
"I LOVE IT!" Jessi yelled.
"Haha, thanks. Did you find anything? I'd hate to be the only one getting something."
"Yeah, I found this really cool muscle tee. Its black with a guitar on it." She explained. "I don't really like trying stuff on."
"Okay, sounds cool. Let me go change, then we'll check out." I came back out in my tee shirt and jeans and we checked out. After we hit a few more stores, I realized how broke I was. Haha. I barely had enough money to buy a bag of peanuts at a gas station. Just kidding, but seriously. We got back, unloaded all of our crap out of the trunk and took it in my house. We had about an hour before midnight bowling. I decided I wanted to wear my new dress I bought. I had also bought some black flats, knowing I wouldn't want to wear heels even though they give us bowling shoes. So I changed, crimped my hair because I really like how it looks on me, and did my makeup. I never really wore a lot of makeup, but I knew I was getting to the point in my life where I should at least wear some. I walked out to hear Jessi "oooing" at me. Of course she was joking around though.
Once we got to the bowling alley, a few people were already there, but not many, probably five. The night was just perfect. We had a great time laughing, talking, eating, and bowling. It was probably my best birthday ever. We were all about to leave because people had to get home, but Jessi and I weren't in a rush. She was spending the night at my place. We were the last ones, then I was stopped by a hand grabbing my wrist. It scared the crap out of me. I turned around to see Andy there.
"Head to my house without me, I'll be right behind you." I whispered to Jessi. She turned around seeing Andy, and she nodded towards me.
"What do you want Andy? I know everybody was technically invited, but knowing what happened between us, I wasn't expecting for you to come." He looked down at the ground. "Can you please let go of my wrist, its starting to hurt." He gently let go and looked back at me.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you."
"Just know? Or before?"
"Both times. I truly don't want to hurt you."
"Why do you care anyway. We went on one date and that's it. So why do you care?"
"Because... Uh... I JUST DO OKAY!" he started getting frustrated and clenching his fists, making me flinch. He quickly noticed and calmed himself down. "It really wasn't what it looked like. I mean yes... I had a girlfriend, but I want to be with you."
"That's really sweet and all, but it doesn't distract from the fact that you cheated on one of your girlfriends, so why wouldn't you cheat on me, and why would you just use me that way. Its just.. Just it hurt."
"I want you to know that I broke up with her as soon as you left. When we kissed, it was like the world went away. It was like you were the one last missing piece of my jigsaw puzzle."
