chapter 1

Harry closed the door behind him, he could hear George making jokes of Ron and Ron grumbling meaningless sleepy words which were apparently meant for George.Harry walked down the stairs looking for Ginny who was of course not there then it occurred to him this was one of George's jokes.Of course if Fred had been alive Harry would'nt have believed a word of it from the very beginning but now that George had lost his companion, Harry couldn't differentiate between George's jokes and serious statements the latter had become common which was pretty unusual for George at least.Sometimes when he would be making a joke, he would stop in the middle of it all of a sudden maybe because of the habit of Fred completing his sentences and vice versa. 

After Fred's death, for the first few weeks, George Weasley was unrecognizable, he would either be locked up in his room or would apparate to some place away from the house and wouldn't be present for hours.Weasley Wizard Wheezes was in great loss because George wouldn't return to the place.In the end the workers just had to close it up for a while.Then Lee Jordan,Fred and George's best friend had come along with Angelina Johnson ,they would spent hours and hours with George and it wasn't until a month after the war that George showed signs of recovery.Then gradually they convinced him to open up the shop and now, after so much time he finally seemed normal.But Harry knew that,like all of the others, George too was just hiding his grief under the blanket of smiles and jokes. 

'Hello Harry dear.What took you so long i was beginning to wonder whether you were even in the house' Mrs Weasley said coming up to Harry.She had always been the nearest thing Harry had had to a mother and so probably he loved and respected her a lot.'Now don't just stand there come on take a seat dear, Arthur and Percy at the ministry but Ginny and Hermione will be down in a minute.And oh dear where ever is Ron? was he awake when you came down?' she asked '' George was trying to wake him up he'l probably be awake by now '' ''Oh of course he will be.Now dear what will you have? muffins? kippers?porridge?Bacon and eggs?toast?'' But at that moment Ginny had entered the living room and caught up in admiration Harry absent mindedly said ''Bacon and Eggs please'' ''Hello mum!'' Ginny said ''Oh hi Harry'' Harry caught of guard could only just manage to blurt out ''H-hi''. ''Oh Blimey Ron you look terrible!'' Ginny said.Harry turned around to see Ron standing at the end of the stair case with George behind him who walked past Ron and seated himself into the chair beside Harry's.''Hey Ginny!'' George said ''You know some people just wont wake up with out- OUCH!'' he turned around at Harry ''What was that for?'' but lucky for Harry, Ginny had gone into the kitchen and was helping Mrs Weasley with the plates.Ron had taken a seat at the other end of the table.Ginny walked back into the living room and called back over her shoulder ''Oh Mom i forgot to tell you Hermione said she'd be down in a minute'' ''Wells that's alright i'l just make her some muffins i know she'll like that'' Mrs Weasley replied.But it was Ron who's behaviour was startling ''Oh god! Ginny you should have said that before!'' saying that he jumped of his chair and quickly started walking toward the stair case up to his room. Mrs Weasley called him back but he mumbled about forgetting something upstairs and said he would be back in a minute.No sooner had he disappeared up the stair case that Hermione entered the living room through another door and to Harry's surprise she too looked horrible.'Good Morning Mrs Weasley '' she said.''Good Morning dear did you sleep well last night?'' Mrs Weasley said over her shoulder while turning over the eggs at the same time.''Yes thank you'' replied Hermione taking a seat besides Ginny who was now seated a chair away from Harry.Ginny whispered something in Hermione's ear and Hermione turned a bright shade of scarlet ''Shut up Ginny!'' she whispered back.Ginny apparently pleased with herself chuckled. Mrs Weasley came to the table,sat beside George and engaged herself in a conversation with him.Harry leaned over to Hermione.''Hey whats up with you and Ron?'' ''Me and  Ro- well i wouldn't know about Ron of course not at all'' she said trying to hide the nervousness in her voice. ''Well and you?'' harry asked.''Me? Oh i was just reading late last night that's all,''. ''Not exactly what i would call 'reading' you know'' Ginny said in a low voice.At that Hermione blushed again and struggling with words she said ''Well-you- i cu-Oh just please shut up Ginny will you?'' ''Yes of course your secret is safe with me, Harry and George'' Hermione in an alarmed voice,said '' George??! oh but you wouldn't do that !''  .Harry sat back in his chair and let Ginny annoy Hermione.As he sat in his chair Ron came into the kitchen and took a seat at the table.''Mum! you didn't make me any thing to eat'' he said in a rather sulky voice.''well Ron i don't read minds you know and you didn't tell me what you wanted for breakfast when you came downstairs stairs earlier.Every thing you need is in the the kitchen,go make yourself something to eat'' Mrs Weasley replied.''Oh blimey mum! I know you don't read minds but you knew what Hermione would want. Dont say anything i know you would rather wish she was your daughter instead!'' Ron, saying that turned around and started going up the stairs but Mrs Weasley wasn't going to let him off so easily ''RONALD WEASLEY YOU COME BACK HERE RIGHT NOW! YOU COME BACK RIGHT NOW OR BY GOD I WILL TELL ARTHUR ABOUT ALL OF THIS!  COME BACK NOW! NOW!'' she bellowed after him but Ron had received quite a number of shouts this summer which included, Harry figured, Fred's share too so although he did become a bit unsure of his action as could be seen by his slowing pace, but he did not stop instead he climbed and disappeared up the stairs.''I'll go after him Mrs Weasley '' Harry said and stood up and left the room before Mrs Weasley could say anything.
