I finally came home after school and my talk with Tony. I was so happy the school day was over.
"Mom! Dad! Im home!" I screamed. "How was school today Paul?" asked my mom. "Well my science teacher Mr. Leap is taking my class to a hotel for a week. He said we will be learning in the hotel." I said. "Does it cost any money?" asked my mom. "No it's for free." I said. "That's great to hear!" said my mom.
That's when my dad came. "What did I miss?" said my dad. "Mr. Leap is taking us on a class trip to a hotel for a week." I told my dad. My dad didn't look happy as my mom was. I look upset instead of being happy for me. "Son it's best if you stay home." said my dad. "Why dad?" I asked. "Anything can happen there. Someone can get hurt or even killed. And when that happens I'm not going to be there to help you. That's why you should stay home with me and your mom." said my dad. "But dad, I want to go." I said. "Do you want to go that bad?" asked my dad. "Yes dad." I said. My mom was just standing listening to us. My dad took a quick second to think. "Ok son, I'll let you go. But be careful what happens there. Remember I won't be there for you." said my dad. "Ok I'll be safe there." I said. My mom and dad went back to what they were doing. I went to my room.
