At the sound of my alarm I jumped out of bed with a happy twirl, turned it off, and got ready for another fabulous day at school.
Lies.
Here's what actually happened when my alarm rang; I turned over to shut it off, wiped the excess drool off my face, and tried, but failed, to leave my bed like a normal human. Like always my feet were tangled in my sheets and only the top half of my body came off my bed. But my feet didn't hit the floor. Instead, I fell right on the top of my nightstand and my previously injured lamp dropped miserably on the ground for the thousandth time. What a wonderful start to my day.

My mother threw my door open at the noise and walked in with a sigh. She looked around and began analyzing the mess that was my room, her eyes finally landing on me and the lamp that had fallen.

"Callista honey, how many lamps do I buy you every week?" She gave me a look as she helped me up and inspected the lamp for severe damage.

"Well...," I moved closer to the door with a innocent look on my face while speaking as quickly as possible."..I'm just gonna walk away now. Love you Mom."

I sprinted out the door and down the stairs only to find that my wonderful mother invited people in without telling me. I looked over at my friends who were sitting in the living room, watching the recording of last night's basketball game, and eating popcorn. My popcorn.

"Who do you think you are?" I asked them. "You come into my house, sit on my couch, and eat MY food." What kind of person does that. Food is a sacred thing, and to take another's food is betrayal of the highest degree.

Like the horrible people they were, they continued to ignore me and eat my precious popcorn. We should have been piling into Andrew's car by now, and on our way to school, but it seemed that the Raptors were more important to them. I gotta admit though, they may have stolen my food, but at least they were backing the right team.

I figured, if they weren't going to give my food or my couch, I might as well eat it with them before they finished it all. Sadly though, just as I sat down and reached toward the popcorn resting on Annie's lap, my mother ran into the room, yelling at us about how school was 'so important', and we needed to be on time, or we would 'destroy our futures'. Let's just say her banshee scream was quite persuasive.

As per usual the ride to school was just as pleasant as my morning had been: not at all. Driving with two people who talked incessantly and unnecessarily, while blasting loud music that I didn't even like, and singing along -horribly- with the windows rolled all the way down wasn't exactly the funniest thing in the world.

How Andrew even payed attention to the road, with Annie screaming down his ears, and how Annie focused on her food with Andrew the vulture attacking it, I will never understand.

But I dealt with it every morning anyway, cause I wouldn't have it any other way. After all, friends are the family you can choose, and I chose these two a long time ago.

That and also, I lost the receipt when I bought them, so I am sadly stuck with a purchase that I don't see myself enjoying in any way.

Once we arrived at our wonderful Spring Valley high school, it was just seconds before the bell. Sadly though, I only ever run for one reason: food. School is not food, so I did not run. This resulted in my being late, again, to math. It was alright though, it's not like I enjoyed the subject anyway.

Slowly but surely, both math and 2nd block were over, and I was heading over to my locker to put my books away. This year, the stupid school made a mistake with my locker so instead of having one full locker, I had two half ones. The worst thing was, they weren't even on top of each other. One was the third top locker from the left, and the second was the the 4th bottom locker. Hopefully I wouldn't hate the person on top of my locker. It would make a pretty uncomfortable year if i did.

Just as I got to my locker(s), I realized how much of a headache I had. I was only half way through the day but it already felt like my brain had set itself on fire and decided it would be fun to splatter some oil in there too. Really, my brain is just so awesome! Sarcasm intended.

I squatted down to put my textbooks in my bottom locker thingy, but my stupid legs don't like working, so I basically just flopped on my butt in the middle of the hallway. Awesome right. But that wasn't the end of it. No, the person who owned the locker above me decided this was the perfect time to be an idiot. Let's just say having like 4 textbooks dropped on your head while you were already practically dead from your headache, was not fun. At all.

I was already very much ready to slap someone. And whoever this was gave me perfect reason to do so.

Hello yall. And welcome to my first ever book. This was the the first chapter, so I hope I didn't scare people away with my writing!
I would recommend a song to listen to while reading that actually has some sort of relation to the book, but I don't got anything so..
I'll just recommend everyone listen to the song 2!3! By BTS. Awesome singers, and an awesome song. Also huuuge shout out to my friend Lolo for helping me edit this. If it weren't for her, this would look like trash in the form of words.

Other than that I'll just say please keep reading and I hope you like the story!
