They say there is a reason
They say that time will heal
But neither time nor reason
Will change the way we feel
For no one knows the heartache
That lies beyond our smiles
No one knows how many times
We've broken down and cried
We want to tell you something
So there won't be any doubt
Your so wonderful to think of
But hard to be without.

November 4th. My birthday. Birthdays are supposed to be a time of celebration, right? Well, thats what my birthday once was.

I rolled over in bed and let out a grown. I hate mornings. The sun in your eyes! What a refreshing way to wake up! Not.

My eyes lazily scanned across my white-walled room and stoped on the calender. Today was my birthday! Im turning 13. I smile remembering my birthday plans, but relectulantly push my self out of bed.

I went to my closet and pulled out a pair of jeans and a T-shirt, before heading to the bathroom connected to my bedroom. I flicked on the light and splashed some water in my face, then wiggle into my jeans and t-shirt. After I changed I plugged in my straightener and brushed my teeth, giving my straightener time to warm up. After brushing my teeth and straightening my hair, I turned the bathroom lights off and headed down stairs.

The smell of bacon floated in the air as I rounded a corner into the kitchen. There were four people in the room waiting for me. My mom was standing by the stove flipping sizzling bacon, Suzie was eating food off her plate at the kitchen tabel, Ash was spinning around one of the counter stools bordley, and Nate was stuffing his mouth with scrambled eggs in the chair next to Suzie.

Nate was the first one to see me and paused shoveling eggs into his mouth to shout,"Happy BirthDay!!!"

Since his mouth was stuffed with food it sounded more like,"Lappie Gerts Gay!!!"

Everyone paused what they were doing to stare at Nate, trying to figure out what he said, but I understood and felt a goofy smile stretch across my face. "Thanks, Nate."

"Here, honey. Eat your food fast because we leave for the mall in ten minutes." My mom handed me a plate consisting of eggs, biscuits, and bacon. Mmmm. Bacon.

I grabbed the plate and walked over to the kitchen to see that Ash moved over to the kitchen table and the three of them were talking about what movie we should see at the malls Cinema.

Suzie scrunched up her nose at Ash and Nate's suggestion to see Super Hamster: outside the cage."Oh no," she shook her head,"we are not seeing that stupid movie."

As i sat down next to Suzie as Ash and Nate started objecting her statement. Suzie looked over at me and smiled while rolling her eyes at them. "Happy Birthday!", she whisperd.

"Thanks."

Ash paused and looked at me while nate kept ranting on about how Super Hamster would be incredible. Ash blinked and slapped a hand over Nates mouth, "Let Cecily decide. It is her birthday."

All three eyes were on me, willing me to pick there desired movie. I stroked my imaginary beard and let out a loud Hmmm. What did i want to see on my birthday? Well i like action and comedy, so... I glanced carefully over at Suzie and let out a nervous smile

"Super Hamster all the way!" I finally shouted out.

After high-fives and a couple disaproving glares, we were all cramming into my moms small mini-van. Suzie called shot gun saying that she at least got to sit in the front since we were forcing her to see a stupid movie, my mom driving (of course), and me crammed in between Ash and Nate in the back seat.
