Nightmare was twelve moons old now and she was covered head to paw in scars. She had been training with Scourge all of her life and she was finally ready. Scourge circled around her and Nightmare kept her eyes on him just in case this was another surprise battle training. Her ear was torn because he attacked her in the middle of the night. "You are ready for battle my daughter." He told her looking like he killed another cat. "Battle?" Nightmare asked puzzled. Bone spoke next. "Last night a brown cat came by the name of Tigerclaw', he said that the clan cats are trying to kill off Blood Clan." Nightmare was so confused and filled with hatred for the clan cats. "Don't you want to spill some blood, your the only one of us that hasn't Nightmare." Scourge said claws unsheathed. Nightmare nodded and looked at the cats she spent most of her life with. "For Blood Clan!" Nightmare yowled. The entire Clan cheered and unsheathed there claws. The brown cat approached the camp and Nightmare growled under her breath. She jumped off of the rock and walked toward the cave. Tigerclaw walked next to her and Nightmare sheathed her claws and growled. Something feel right about this cat. She knew he possessed a cold heart. Nightmare then disappeared into the darkness of the cave. She walked over to a warm corner with a patch of sunlight peeking through the cracks. She layed down and closed her eyes to her Clan mates cheers.

Nightmare woke up with a strange feeling. She looked around and saw stars beneath her paws. She had to be dreaming. "Hello Nightmare." Said a sweet voice. Nightmare spun around and saw a tortoise shell she-cat staring back at her. "How do you know my name?" She asked."How did I get here?" The cat just sat down and smiled. "I am Spottedleaf, you are in Star Clan." Nightmare just looked twisted and confused. "I was a Thunder Clan medicine cat and I died fighting Clawface." She mewed. "Am I dead?" Nightmare gasped. Spottedleaf laughed and told her no. "What is Star Clan?" Nightmare asked, puzzled. The she-cat disappeared and Nightmare woke up next to Bone and the full moon rose. She looked up to the sky. "What is Starclan?"
