Kehlani's POV
I walked back over to Chance, feeling stunned. I hadn't known B was here.. that doesn't mean anything though. He could have went to Hell and back and I wouldn't have cared. "What's wrong?" Chance asked, wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me into him. "Bryson and I.." I couldn't help myself as I started to sob right into Chance's goddamn sweater. I just couldn't stop. The way he was holding me.. B used to do that to.. when I would sneak over to his house after my parents had a fight, he would hold me close to his chest, let me just listen to his heart beat...
Chance had me out into the street into his car in seconds. "You gotta go to him, Lani." he said, looking deep into my eyes, and I sniffled, shaking my head, my bob framing my face. "I can't." I managed to choke out, my chest shuddering. "You can. I know your songs are about him. Especially the one I just heard..." he trailed off, tracing a tattoo on my finger. He tilted my face toward his, looking at me. "Do it. I don't know what he did, but Lani, this is deep. Do you know where he is?" I shook my head, and then noticed a hunched over figure about a block away.
I hurriedly got out, running. Bryson looked up at me, his expression only of one being tortured. It broke my heart, and fesh tears emerged. He straightened up, watching me run up to him. I stopped only for a second, debating whether I should just leave. But then his arms opened up, and I knew my decision. I just had to have him. But could I trust him? After weeks of listening to his music, lurking his Instagram page for new chicks, I was finally face-to-face with the boy who had both mended and broken my heart.
I didn't care. I ran straight into his arms, wrapping my legs around his waist ad his arms closed around me. We had only to look at each other for a quick second before he pushed my hair out of my face, staring into my eyes as he brought my lips to his.
