Louis sighed as he stood behind the counter of the bar

Louis sighed as he stood behind the counter of the bar. He wanted to just walk out since there was absolutely no one at the bar but Tim was there so he couldn't. He had to stay because he needed the money.

His apartment wasn't far from Josie's; just a few blocks away and it wasn't in the best part of town but he didn't live alone and he had to bring something to the table.

"Louis, you know you can go." Tim waved off, taking a seat across from him as he placed down the money he made that week that he kept in a metal box. "Sometimes when we say we're open its just a suggestion. People don't usually come around Thursdays for some reason, thats why Harry isn't here."

Harry. Louis wished he could just learn everything about the man in one sitting instead of having to assume because he's only seen him twice. That first night when he was drinking and when they shared a shift together.

The small lad could sense something was off about him. His eyes just didn't look normal to him; they looked like he had contacts in. His jaw was always clenched and fists were mainly at his sides. He mainly looked in pain.

"What was that?" Tim chuckled, motioning towards him with the end of his pen as he watched the boy. As soon as he mentioned Harry's name, he completely dazed off.

"Oh," he gasped, blushing slightly. He used the tip of his finger to push at his glasses so they stayed where he would like instead of having them fall down his nose, "Nothing."

"Spit it out, its a safe environment."

"Is he, like-" he paused, looking up at the ceiling in thought. "Okay? He always looks like he's hurting." He felt weird telling his boss that but he looked like he understood when he began to nod.

"That's just how Harry is." He replied, putting on his glasses and pulling out some bills he had to pay. "Ever since i've known him he is just that way." He shrugged lightly, "Don't put too much thought into it. He's a nice guy."

Louis opened his mouth to say something else but froze when he saw the curly haired man himself walk through the door with sunglasses on and his hair tied back into a bun. "Where's everybody?" His deep voice hummed.

Louis lowered his head so he could distract himself with cleaning the glasses instead of looking into his eyes.

"You know how Thursdays are." Tim groaned, turning his attention to his calculator as he continued with his work. Harry glanced at the boy who was keeping to himself, taking a seat at the bar with a sigh.

"Pass me a shot glass." He hummed, leaning forward to grab at the half full bottle of Tequila. He thanked the boy when he handed him the desired glass and turned his back towards the man. "Is it your first time working in a bar, Louis?"

The boy's heart felt weird when he heard his name leave his lips. He couldn't describe it but he just couldn't find himself to turn around and look him in the eye.
