I couldn't take it anymore. I just couldn't take it my head was spinning and I haven't ate in 3 days. I thought what was the point of living? As I said on top of a tall building in the streets of New York. I come up to the top of this building every day and try to get myself to jump. I'm a homeless man and I'm only 25. My parents are dead and my brother lives in Maine. I'm alone I will always be alone. Today I thought today is the day I'm going to jump as I looked down and was scared half to death. I gulped and I was so close to the edge I was surprised I hadn't fallen yet. The last few thoughts that ran through my head were. I miss my parents. What about my friends? And why am I doing this. I was on one foot now with the other over the edge. Then I closed my eyes and was ready. But then I heard something from down below it was a lady screaming help probably as loud as she could. I sprinted down the stairs not bothering to take the elevator. When I got to the lady screaming. When I saw what was attacking her I couldn't believe my eyes. I didnt know what it was. It.... it was some kind of monster as I grabbed the lady's arm and pulled her out of there as we ran down the street and then stopped when I thought it was safe. I made sure she was ok first before I started asking questions.
Thank you were the first words she said. Your welcome I said in return. "What's your name"? I said. Elizabeth you can call me lizzy. "I'm trey nice to meet you". "Nice to me you too but what was that thing?" I don't know and I don't plan to find out. Then we heard a really loud crash! We looked up and two cars had collided together. Then we saw what was walking alongside of the road. Another one of those things. There was a young man walking and he bumped into the monster and looked at him straight into his eyes. It almost looked like a person. Then I ran across the street to try to save that man but it was to late. The monster had bitten into his shoulder. Then I turned around and grabbed lizzy and told her we had to get out of here. I couldn't believe my eyes could those things be people?
We ran around the corner and saw another one. It was like we were in a nightmare. We ran across the street in fear. I didn't know what was going on and then I slapped myself in the face still thinking this is some kind of nightmare hoping to wake up from it. Then I heard a car horn honk looking up I saw Randy he was my best friend since grade school. I hurried in the car with lizzy and slammed the door shut. "Go hurry!" I yelled. As Randy stepped on the gas. "What's going on Randy I said terrified". "I don't know but whatever those things are there everywhere". "And they bite" lizzy added in. "I'm Randall by the way". Randy says looking back at lizzy. "Hi I'm lizzy." We stopped for a second and I wondered why and then I realized we were at Randys appartment. I'm grabbing food water and clothes. We're getting the hell out of here. Randy said. I looked at lizzy and she looked pale as a ghost. "Dont worry I said were getting out of here." I hope so she said. Randy got back and got into the car. "Ready trey?" Randy said. "Ready young lady?" He said winking. Of course he's even flirting in a time like this. But I'd have to admit lizzy is really pretty. She smiled and Randy stepped on the gas pedal and we were off. Do you have any family Liz? I said. "No none in New York." So your okay with travelling with two strangers? Randy said from the front seat. "Well in a time like this yeah." We're are we going Randy? I said. We're getting the hell out of New York city. I think we all know what those things are Randy said very seriously. Now we're going to main.
