Lightning Struck

Prologue

Cinder and Dylan are two young girls who are very imaginative. They always talked about school, and some fandoms. Basically, what normal teens talk about.

There were storm warnings on the news, and most took caution. It was supposed to be dangerous, but it only had dark clouds and a bit windy. It seemed harmless to the girls. Dylan and Cinder were hanging out on the American football field, and they were leaning on the field post. Dylan was a girl who seemed to be the sarcastic and outgoing girl that always took advantage of many opportunities. Cinder was the naive and some what shy girl that had some weird moments. Dylan was currently talking to Cinder about a fandom that Cinder had no idea about.

"Cinder, are you even listening to me?"Dylan asks, glaring at Cinder.

"Uh... Kind of. "Cinder admits, "I only read your fanfictions of Teen Wolf. "

Dylan rolls her eyes, and sighs, "You really should watch it.."

Cinder shakes her head, and notices a boy walks over. The dark haired boy walked over to the girls, and Dylan smiled when she saw him.

"Hey, Mason! "Dylan exclaimed,"What are you doing here?"

"Uh, the game is today. I came early."Mason explained.

Dylan looks at him,"It was cancelled..."

"Oh, well, I am going to go to Dairy Queen."Mason says as thunder rolls.

Cinder rolls her eyes, and leans on the metal field post. Cinder tuned out of the conversation, and started to daydream. She heard the thunder and lightning get lightning get louder. Closer. It was somewhat soothing. She heard a scream, and opened her eyes to see Dylan grab her.

Dylan saw the lightning. Dylan knew the field post was metal. She ran to her to get her out of the way of the strike zone, but she was too late. In the end, she was in the same situation as Cinder came into. A bright white light filled the girls' eyes, and a painful, shocking pain filled their bodies.

Then Darkness..

Pure Darkness...

Darkness as far as anyone could see.

((Yes, it is short, but it is just a prologue. Other chapters will be longer.))
