Chapter 5

Reagan walked to her car, She guessed the first day as the new kid went alright. The blonde kid Chase was cute but, with her powers she couldn't get close to anyone. Besides he was the captain of the soccer team, and that girl Sarah, tall and blonde what guys like. The captains were weird to, they controlled the school which wasn't typical. The school was rich which she didn't like , but she guessed she could deal with it. "Ding" her phone rang out startling her, it was her mom, telling her to hurry home so they could go meet the neighbors . She thought it was dumb, they only had two neighbors but oh well. She pulled her truck into the drive way and seen her parents walking out, "just in time sweetheart, how was today? No flares right?" He meant her powers. "Dad haven't had one since I was ten." she couldn't tell her dad about using them to make chase bump James, he probably would have done it either way but, Reagan made sure. She could read certain minds, move some things, and some people like her could fly, Unfortunately she couldn't. They walked across the street and her dad knocked on the door. they waited and heard scrambling behind the door. Finally it opened "woah Blondie looks like were neighbors" her parents glared at her. Then she noticed all he was wearing were jeans, and they were just kind of hanging there. She stared while he talked to her parents, she noticed his eyes kept flicking over her. finally, since his parents weren't home Hers went back home. Gosh was he hot she thought, his hair was golden in the light and, his eyes were beautiful. He wasn't the model with a six pack he was cut but rough, he had a scar on his chest looking like a blade but she laughed inside at the thought. She was the one who would be more likely to have a blade in her, not him he was a regular teen, it was probably a drinking accident or something stupid. They talked for awhile and he told her they should chill sometime. She flutter but, Thought "who the hell actually uses the word chill". He was so stupid, shallow, and cocky, but he was cute. they said their goodbyes and she headed back across the street, it was 4:00 now which meant training time. Today was sword day, she rushed down stairs to the basement where her brother had already started. "Still trying to beat the dummy little brother" She goateed him. "how about we see what you Got sis". She ran toward him using her powers to pull her sword to her hand, then doing the same to his. she placed one on each side of his head waiting for him to hold up his two fingers in submission. Reagan smiled as her dad walked in, "Already at it I see". He grabbed 2 swords looking at one then swung at Reagan. she had already read his thoughts , she dodged and watched her father throw Shawn a sword they fought for what seemed like hours until finally she knocked her brothers sword to the ground, then with a kick sent him reeling to the pad. she quickly turned to block an attack from her father, the she hit I'm in the chest and sent him flying around 15 feet or so. Her gear had been cut by her brother, she was pissed now she went over and pulled him up putting him in a headlock. Finally her dad finished laughing and started yelling. "let him go Reagan" He said as she threw him to the floor. she walked out, up the stairs to her room, she threw her gear on the bed. BLACK! she hated the color but at her rank. it went white, black, dark brooding red, which always scared Reagan, Finally you wore the dark grey of the elders. Her parents had never went past black, she decided she wouldn't either. The aces were scary, some were assassins others were criminals to there people because of their actions. shed never actually see one so it didn't matter, they wanted her to, the elders, her powers weren't normal not even among their people. She didn't care she wouldn't be them, never!
