At the beginning of the year Harrison Woods has an open mic night the basically no one goes to. Well some people go like the queers, the people who hang out with the queers, and borders. I only went because the clingy hoe Talia and gay sidekick Robbie asked me to go. It was afterschool on Friday and started at 6:30 and lasted till 8:00. You could sing, read a poem, or waste everyone's time with some stupid story. Anyway, my belligerent mother signed me up to be the manager of the junior varsity field hockey team. I had to be at the game at 5 and I had time to kill since it was only three. I went to the library with Talia and her talking to me about some bullshit she watched on TV. I don't really listen to hear since everything she says is pure garbage. That day I felt generous and gave her the time of day.
''Are you going to open mic night?'' I asked
'' Yeah, but I have stupid self-defense from 3:30 to 4:30. I really don't wanna go though.'' Talia said
''Just email your self-defense teacher and tell him you have to help manage the field hockey game with me.'' I said
I didn't want to be bored just sitting there all alone watching a bunch of basic bitches run around with sticks tossing around a ball.
''Sure I guess I could do that. But I could get detention if he doesn't see it and I miss class.'' She said acting like she had her panties in a bunch
Hasn't this hoe every broken any rules.
'' Just manage with me and be cool with it.''I said
She shrugged and went along with the motions. We stayed at the library until it was time to leave to go manage the field hockey game. Robbie went up with us at the game. Sadly it was pouring rain and they were still playing field hockey. Talia left me behind with Robbie at the gym, while I stayed on the field watching dumb little blonde girls toss a ball around. 10 minutes into the game game and the weather sirens went off and we all ran inside the gym. Talia's cool mom brought Robbie and Talia Chick fil a, while I was suffering outside. I chewed Talia out for leaving me and she gave me her French fries in return for my forgiveness. I had this little minion wrapped around my finger.
We departed from the gym to the library. The thing about our school's library is that it has a huge flat screen in it that you can connect your computer to. I came up with the idea to connect Talia's computer to the Tv just in case we get caught. I wasn't taking the blame for this crap. I decided we should watch Bob's burgers on the TV because no one else had any better idea. Since it was a huge storm outside the audio and video was blurry and not clear.
We left and went to the dorms to get some pizza then went to open mic night. Open mic night took place at our school's cafe. A queer band called the humpback whales were setting up for their first gig of the year. I heard they were pretty good for an unknown band. But then I saw her. The lead singer was really hot and I couldn't help but stare. She had beautiful brown skin, prominent juicy lips, with long braids falling down the edges of her face. Her name was Sydney and I think I just fell in love with her. The night went on from there the humpback Whales performed then a couple people with poems. Talia even performed, she sounded terrible but she performed. When we left the cafe I walked Talia to her mom's car.
''I think I have a crush on Sydney.'' I said
''Oh are you going to do anything about it.'' She asked
''Probably not. I do this thing where I get crushes for a second and then forget about it.'' I said
