Chapter 1
I hate this so frigging much, I can't believe this is happening again. WHY ME???!!!
Ok, so before you think I'm about to die or something I'll just tell you all why I hate my life right now. I'm the new kid in school, AGAIN!!! I hate being the new kid, it just doesn't work for me at all. This is the third time in two yeas that my mum has made me change schools. Yeah, she just LOVES moving us. *sigh*
"Gbemi!" Someone calls. I look behind me to see the school secretary walking towards me. "Come this way, let me show you to your class". I nod and follow her.
Right, so now let me properly introduce myself. *clears throat* I'm Gbemi, I'm 16 years old and I believe I'm about to run out of here screaming like a little girl. YUP!!! I'm that shy.
We get to the class and I notice on the door it states 'SS 2ARTS', yeah that's definitely my class. Deep breaths, in, out...in, out. Here goes everything. I walk into the classroom with my head down, the class suddenly turns quiet and I can bet my life that all eyes are on me. FRIG!!!
"Hello class, this is a new student here. Her name is Gbemisola Idowu, so be nice to her class" "sure thing Miss Jane" ..."I'll definitely be nice to her". I hear some boys say things like that and other comments I'd rather not think of. Kill me now, I think to myself. Miss Jane just smiles at me, shakes her head and walks out of the class. This will be so much fun. Note the sarcasm...I stand there and stare at the ground for a couple of seconds then raise my head and search for an empty seat. Luckily for me the only empty seat was at the far end of the class and I walk to it. THANK YOU!!!!
As I walk to my seat I hear a couple of boys whistle and whisper stuff to each other, I try hard not to faint right then and there. This is going to be the worst first day ever!!!

"Hello everyone, my name is Gbemisola Idowu, the name of my previous school is Graceland Secondary School, Abuja. I, err...yeah I'm an only child and I live with my mum who likes to travel a lot. And this is my first time in Lagos. Thanks" I stand in front of the class facing everyone awkwardly. Well that wasn't as bad as the previous one, although I had to say more because this is English.
"Nice to meet you Gbemi, you may have your seat" I smiled shyly at the nice teacher, Mr Felix and went to my seat. I must have introduced myself close to 50 times before lunch (which is called break over here) and I am just plain tired of that right now.
"Ok, so let's go back to our topic for today: SENTENCES".
Finally its break time and I watch everyone leave the class room to go get lunch. Maybe I'll just stay in the class till school is over without getting any lunch, I'm sure I can handle that. I guess my tummy disagrees with me because it just let out a loud growl, fortunately there was no one in class to hear it :). So I'm definitely going to get lunch now. Sighing to myself, I walk out of the class and in the direction all the students went and I hope I don't get lost. I finally notice the cafeteria after walking around for a while, too shy to ask anyone. When I walk in I notice that there are students everywhere I look, sitting, gisting, laughing and eating and I feel like walking right out but my tummy reminds me why I'm there in the first place. I notice a lot of eyes on me. oh hell, this is bloody scary.
I walk to the little kiosk at the corner and buy myself a gala and a bottle of coke, find an empty seat and eat my food in silence while I feel various eyes on me.
"Yo, new girl!!!" I look up to see three guys walking towards me and I know I'm not going to like what's coming next. This is so NOT going to be fun.
"Err...hi?"
