"The legend dates back to 1st grade, where she was first sighted. They say she always sat in the back of the class and kept her mouth shut. Even when the teacher would call on her, she would stay quiet, maybe even whisper her answers. And because of that everyone always thought she was really shy. That is until 2nd grade rolled around. That's when the other kids in the class started to take a notice to her, and would bother her with questions and name calling. They were just curious kids, but I don't think she really liked being bothered, maybe just preferred to be alone. One day she finally started to answer their questions, and then she started to ask some of her own. No one really knows what she said, or if they did know, but they just refuse to talk about it. All I know is that they left her alone that day, and the very next month she had to transfer because all the other kids would start to cry whenever she was near.
"I bet you're curious about what she could have possibly said, right? I am too. I'll tell you a theory of mine, ok? I bet she was all quiet and reserved because she was observing the other kids behaviors and stuff so that she could make a guess about their lives or maybe just find perfect insults. Maybe she's just a genius, right?" He practically gasped. He stared excitedly at the other boy in front of him, but the look was not returned. The other boy started to shake his head, and sighed, before replying.
"T-man, all I asked was who the hot chick in the black jacket was, I am not prepared for another one of your theories. Sherlock messed you up, and I am sick of your hidden genius ideas." He said, before turning back to his locker for his science book, the keychains on his bag jingling as he turned. The first boy stared at him, almost appalled at what his friend just said.
"Josh, bro, aren't you even a little curious? For all we know, I could be right! We need to investigate! I bet she's got access to the security cameras to watch what we do! Maybe she collects research that way!"
"You don't even know her, man!" Josh turned, the braids on his head whooshing around. "She could just be shy! Or maybe even a loner that someone decided to give a backstory! I mean, look at her," he gestured his hand over the the girl in question. She was wearing black converse with denim skinny jeans, a black wool hoodie, and a black t-shirt, that looked like it had the imperial star destroyer on it. Her brown hair swayed around her thighs as she mulled through her locker. She looked pretty bored.
"Todd, does she really look like she's some super genius? Just drop the subject, dude." He turned back to his locker before his eyes widened. "T-man, was that science thing due today?"
" Did you seriously forget? That was assigned 3 weeks ago!" He turned away from the girl to laugh at his friend. "You're doomed, dude." He giggled out, before feeling his entire body being slammed into his locker, his shoulder hitting a shelf causing him to lose his balance and slide to the floor. He looked up just as he saw his assailant walk past. It was that stupid jock, Max. He turned around and started to walk backwards, holding his arms out in a challenge. His posse started to laugh and he smirked before turning around again. Todd heard Josh sigh and turned his head towards his friend.
"Someone seriously needs to put that douche in his place." Josh sighed before reaching his hand out. Todd took it gratefully, and let his friend pull him up. When he stood up, he turned to glare at the figure walking away , but someone had beat him to it.
The girl was staring at Max. 'Great.' Todd started to think, 'She's into jerks like him.' Max noticed too, and started to walk over to her, giving her a blinding smile. Josh poked Todd, causing him to turn towards him. Josh looked up and gave him a pity before smiling and saying "Told you she was ordinary."
"Yeah yeah yeah, whatever. Look, lets just get to class." "But what about the project!" Laughing, Todd turned back to his locker and finished unpacking his things before grabbing his science book and closing his locker. "Well, that sounds like a personal problem, man. Just lay low and hope he doesn't call on you to present." Turning to the science room, he took one last look towards the girl and Max.
Good thing he did, too, cause the story wouldn't have started without it. Looking over, he saw Max's back facing him. That was pretty ordinary, right? Just Max flirting with another girl. What caught Todds eye was the fact that Max's perfect posture was slumped, and from what Todd could see, the girl was angry. Squinting his eyes, Todd saw that she had stopped talking, and was smirking at Max, who looked like he was shaking.
"Hey, Josh, look at this." It was almost a whisper, but Josh heard it and turned. "What's up, dude?" he noticed that his friend was staring at something, so he followed his eyes to the girl and Max. Except Max was walking away. In a hurry. He was shaking. When Todd turned his stare back to the girl, Josh followed suit, and they both saw her grab a sketchbook and a textbook before closing her locker, and walking down the corridor. She carried an aura with her, and wherever she went, a path of students backed away, too scared to get near her. Even the two boys backed up when she got near. When she reached where they were standing, she stopped and she turned her head to nod towards them before walking away and around a corner.
It was almost half a minute before Todd spoke up. "D-did she just... scare away MAX?" Josh nodded his head before looking back at Todd. "She just scared half the school.I think i might have theory of my own." He shook his head and threw his last book on the ground before closing his locker and picking them all up. When he straightened his back, he grabbed Todds sleeve and started to walk off, snapping Todd out of his trance. "You are never going to let this go, huh?" Tood laughed and shook his head before snapping his head back to his locker. "Hey, dude, I still need my stuff!"
