Wings of Fire: The Dragonets of Destiny

Chapter 1

"Get off..." Scuffed Cosmosia. The NightWing hybrid growled as the weight of Kat and Dragon Bliss weighed her down to the ground. She couldn't move at all. Cosmosia started to growl louder. "Dragon Bliss if you don't get off I'll burn your tail off!" Cosmosia snarled. Dragon Bliss' eyes widen, showing his pure sky-blue eyes as he jumped off, causing Kat to tumble onto the ground. The fuchsia colored RainWing groaned. "I was having a good dream..." She said, in a whinny tone. Cosmosia liked sleeping alone. But there's always that one dragon who ruins it. She never really liked being "social". She was more of a rebellious type. She was the only hybrid of the Dragonets of Destiny. Actually, no. Dragon Bliss is half MudWing, although he's mostly SandWing. Her scales shimmered in the dim torch lighting in the den. It was dark cobalt blue, and her spiky ridges were a darker tone of indigo. Cosmosia wasn't good at making decisions, nor battling. She was nearly the size as Obsidian, but a few inches shorter than Dragon Bliss. But still, she's big and tough. But Cosmosia was still anti-social. She may do some training, but she'll read a scroll or relax in the water pool for the whole time until she falls asleep. But Cosmosia's dream was to be a leader, a hero. The dragonet who stopped the war, the dragonet who fought warriors, the dragonet who don't play by the rules. But that rebellious, non-social dragonet has a soft side. A very soft side.

"COME ON! WHERE'S THE NIGHTWING IN YOU!?" yelled a dark red dragon. Mercy blew a gust of fire towards Cosmosia. Cosmosia ducked, and ran behind her. Cosmosia was panting hard. They've been training for a least an hour now, and Cosmosia only improved by an inch. Mercy whirled around, the blew another gust of fire towards the NightWing. Cosmosia once again ducked, but somehow dripped over her own tail, and tumbled to the ground. Mercy hissed. "DUCK AND ATTACK," Mercy roared. She slammed Cosmosia's neck to the ground with her claws, and roared in her ear. "YOU HEAR ME, USELESS? DUCK AND ATTACK! USE YOUR FIRE! SCRATCH ME! SHOW ANGER TOWARDS ME!" Mercy bellowed in her ear. Mercy lifted her claws as Cosmosia wiggled from her grasp. Cosmosia stood up, with her wings nearly folded. Mercy roared again. Cosmosia then tried to keep track of Mercy's every movement, trying to predict what attack she'll do next. But Mercy attack without any warning, and blew a gust of fire. But the moment she did it, she slammed her tail against a column, creating a shower of black peddles raining down onto her. Cosmosia panicked. Mercy's training wasn't deadly, but painful. The training ended either with her unconscious for an hour or so or her limping for days forward. Even when she tries to avoid getting hurt, she gets hurt in some way. "Get ANGRY! Aren't you tired of me picking on you? If you don't show any anger, you just might as well be a scavenger getting eaten by a pack of vultures!" Mercy teased. Cosmosia tried to show at least a speck of anger, but It wouldn't come out. Then, Mercy stepped right onto her tail, laughing teasingly. "COME ON, YOU WEAK LITTLE SCAVENGER!" Mercy yelled. Cosmosia then tried to think of something that made her mad. A picture of others when they was only at least 2 years old, laughing at her because she tripped in the water pool. Cosmosia then added the rude comments Mercy said, and suddenly, she tail whipped violently. Cosmosia roared, and ran towards Mercy. Mercy smiled evilly, and blew a gust of fire, but Cosmosia ducked, and blew a gust of fire at her. Mercy winced at the pain, but she still tried to attack Cosmosia. Mercy roared, and ran towards her. But Cosmosia started thinking of all the years she'd harmed her, just for a prophecy! Mercy then roared in pain as fire blasted from her mouth. She whirled her neck around, to see that Cosmosia was biting her tail. Mercy hissed.

Cosmosia growled. But suddenly, her heart started racing. She instantly released the SkyWing's tail as Mercy whirled her tail towards her face, examining the bite. "Well then," she hissed silently. "You showed pretty good anger. Let's train a little bit more, shall we?"

Cosmosia whimpered. Just wait until dinner... Cosmosia stood up tall, ready for Mercy's attack. But Virus then stopped her, and said "we need to talk."
