When your an A student also a valedictorian for biology, and a mentor, there is countless things you have to be responsible of.
1-dealing with speeches amongst many schools.
2-students complimenting your intelligence(as well as teachers).
3-oh, and of course. Mentoring students who have difficulty in socialising amongst many other students. Some bullied, some the actually bullies. And many just with problems of their own.I think it's really wrong for people to just go around and pick on each other as if they do it for a living. It's just not good. I mean maybe, who knows, that person you bully might be your boss one day? Ha. Lol, that's hilarious to be honest, and that's why I-
"Aria!!?" She cuts off my mental rambling. I look up to see Mel ( Melinda) with a exasperated expression. She releases a long breath.
"Are you even listening to me?" She quirks her perfectly plucked eyebrow up.
"Of course I am," I lie. What? Come on! She's so frustrating and boring! She's been my mentee since..forever. And it's the same topic. Chad. This Chad guy and her obsession. I mean seriously? Mel can do so much better.
"Like I said," she continues, "I think he doesn't love me anymore, he's not spending time with me. Whenever I go to his house he either brushes me off with an excuse, or doesn't pay attention to me. What do you advise me to do, Ari?" I look at her, and scan her head to toe. Hmm, well let's think about it. Mel isn't such the shy type. Certainly isn't the stubborn type too. Hell, she certainly is the clingy type. Also, the bitchy type. Her breasts popping out of her off the shoulder jumper and her tanned legs exposed, (too exposed) underneath her mini skirt, she looks at me batting her eyelashes.
"Well, maybe you shouldn't go to his house as often. It's clear that he wants space. Don't glue yourself to his ass every second. Guys don't like them girls. When you give him the space he wants, he'll sort himself out and get back to you like a lovesick puppy. I've witnessed this one too many times."
"Aw, thanks Ari. You're the best, girl!" She embraces me and gives me that big fat smile before reaching for her Michael Kors bag and shuts the door.
I release a long and heavy sigh of relief. Running my fingers through my long blonde hair. I fill in her report and add some observations, and grab the handle. I close the lights and walk out. As soon as I'm out I hit my face into a hard chest.
"Urgh." I fix my hair and just as I'm about to look up to see who it is, I'm pushed back into the room with two muscular arms on my waist.
"What the-"
"Shut up!" The voice hisses. I can tell that it's a guy with that husky voice. He leans really close to me. I feel uncomfortable, so I hit him on his chest. Obviously judging by his silhouette in the dark room he's a tough guy. He doesn't budge. Instead his grip gets even tight.
"Shh. Please?" He asks in a pleading voice. I nod and stay mute. I hear clicking of heels getting louder and louder.
Click.
The door swings open, at the same time the lights flicker open. At that moment all I could do was stare into a pair of gorgeous chocolate-brown eyes. He's quite good looking, with his messy dark brown hair and full lips.
Cough.
"Christian!" A rather high pitched voice screeches. "For gods sakes, Christian. Why are you running away from me I just wanted to"-
She stops halfway to just acknowledge my presence. She analyses me head to toe. I'm wearing my dark blue ripped jeans with a plain black tee and my black converses. She, on the other hand, is wearing a white v neck top the v very deep, revealing her oversized breasts, and high waist shorts, stopping at her thighs. She narrows her eyes at me and flicks her red hair and flickers her icy stare to her boyfriend I presume. "Honeyboo? Who's this?" She scrunches up her nose.
He glances at me sideways then in one swift and fast move, he pulls me into the side of him. "Err, she's my....we..we're...we're cousins." He concludes. I'm so confused. I think he's running away from something but what?
"Really, honeyboo, I never knew you had a cousin in our school?" She stretches out each word. I mentally eye roll this.
"Yeah", he squeezes my shoulder and gives me a heart-throbbing smile with his white pearly teeth. "Right?...."
"Yeah. Erm..I'm Aria, nice to meet you."
She gives me a small smile, not quite sincere. She mumbles something and fakes a really big smile, reminding me of Mel a bit.
"Anyways. I'm Tawni, Christian's girlfriend."
"Yeah I figur-"
"Christian we were in the middle of something, weren't we." She bats her fake eyelashes, not giving a damn about cutting me off. Something tells me she's definitely related to Mel.
The Christian guy whispers something in her ear, and when he's finished she nods and flicks her hair, walking rather so slowly.
Click,click,click....
Finally she's gone. Christian clears his throat and looks down at me. He towers over me with his large frame.
"Well, thanks, Ar..?" He tries recalling my name.
"Aria." I say walking to the exit. I'm almost out the door, when he says,
"Well, see you around. Cousin."
I don't bother looking back and rush to my next class.
I take a seat at the back, and get my equipment out. 2 minutes later the class is full and in comes Mr.O'niel, my biology teacher.
Everyone hushes and takes their seats.
Mr.O'niel takes out his little pocket handkerchief, and starts cleaning his glasses. We all wait for him to begin the class. Finally he's done, and looks up and scans the class.
"Okay, class, we will begin by writing the hypothesis on the board. Once you're done, I will arrange you all into groups of three and you will be in those groups for the rest of the term." The whole class groans, apart from the geeks and of course, me.
I love experiments. I guess I'm a geek too then. As Mr.O'niel, reads out the groups, I carefully listen for my name.
"Melinda,Gush,Andrew," he rambles on and on until he reaches my name.
"Aria,Joey, and Chris." Well, at least Joey's smart, I wouldn't do as much. I walk to Joey's table and take the seat in front of him."So, le-"
"Let's begin." Someone finishes for me.
I turn around to see a pair of familiar chocolate-brown eyes.
S**t! I totally forgot the name, Chris.
Urgh. Of course, short for Christian. I can't believe I missed that. Wait! What? Christian?
No,no,no,no. Not the...not the...BadBoy Christian.
