I was walking to my best friend's, Justin's
house. He said he wanted me to meet some of his friends he made when he went on tour.

I get to his door step and ring the door bell. I hear large footsteps coming down the stairs. The door opens and all I see is a cross on a chest. I realized it was Justin.

"Whoa have you gotten taller?" I asked looking up at him.

"No your just short y/n." He said laughing.

"No but for real though, I'm on my Segway. How did you not see? It's like bright gold." He says laughing hard making my annoyed.

"Funny. Are you going to let me in?" I ask getting impatient and it was cold outside.

"Yeah come in." He moves out if the way to let me in.

When I walk into the living room, I see two guys sitting on the ground playing on Justin's Xbox.

"Ok so this is Za and Kahlil." Justin says playing around on his Segway. When he said the name Kahlil, a guy with light skin yet you could tell he was black looked up. Then he smirked when he saw me. He got up and came to me.

"Well hello there." He said.

"Hi." I said with a short wave.

"Justin you never told me she was hot. All your other female friends don't look this good." He whispered to Justin but I could still hear him.

"Cause I knew you would say that." Justin said rolling his eyes. The way he rolled his eyes made him look...jealous? Why should he be jealous, he has a girlfriend, I think. I don't know.

"Well, I'm Kahlil and you are?" He asks taking my hand and kissing it.

"I'm Y/n..." I say taking my hand back.

Justin moves in between of us and then says oops when he makes Kahlil fall backwards.

For the rest of the time I was there it was constant flirting from Kahlil and lots of glares from Justin. Za was just...there. You know, just playing his game.

The whole time Y/n was here, Kahlil was nonstop flirting with her. It got really annoying because she didn't even notice me. I just kept sending glares in their direction. You might be wondering why I'm mad. I'm glad they are getting along but they are getting too touchy-feely. I kind of like Y/n but I would never admit it. She has been single for a while and I want to keep it that way until I am ready to tell her how I feel.

"Ok that's enough, Kahlil I think you should go." I say with irritation. Za had left 30 minutes ago.

"What, I just met him." Y/n complained. It made my blood boil hearing the way she talked about him. It was evident that he had charmed her. Damn you light skins. (A/N: we lowkey lit tho)

"I should get going, I have to go somewhere." Kahlil said. He was about to walk out but stopped to give Y/n something. He mouthed "call me" and that got me really angry.

Once he left, I took the piece off paper in y/n's hands that was given to her by Kahlil and crumbled it up.

"HEY...what the fu–" she didn't finish the sentence because she saw my glare.

"What did I do?" She asks.

"You now what you did." I say sitting on the couch changing the tv channel.

"Nigga no I don't." She says with confusion all over her face. But in moments, realization hit her like a brick.

"Oh so your mad at me because I got another guys number? Justin, since when did you care about other guys I talk to?" She asked putting her hand on my shoulder. (A/N: 90% of any type of sexual activity starts at the shoulder. I'm sorry but I just needed to put that out there.)

Shit. I'm screwed.

I'm not ready to tell her about my feelings.

"Um...its just... Umm...uh..."

"What is it Justin." She asks.

"...its just...He is my friend and it would be  awkward. I would feel like a third wheel." I saw lying right in my best friend's beautiful face.

"Well if that's how you feel Justin, I won't date him." She says chuckling and I sigh in relief.

If only you knew the truth to why I don't want you dating him.
