"Well, it's just a normal day in the office I guess." Just then then, Maya and Pearl ran into the office.
" We want burgers!" Maya demanded.
Pearl said," Hooray! Mr.Nick and Mystic Maya are having a date!"
(It's a normal day for my wallet too.)
Suddenly, my phone started ringing.
"H-Hey, pal! I really need your help, pal!"
"W-What's wrong, Detective Gumshoe?"
"Listen, I got myself in huge trouble, pal! I'm being accused of murdering Mirr Dirred, pal! My trial is tomorrow! You gotta be my lawyer!"
"Of course! I will be at the detention center soon!"
"Come on Nick,let's go!" Maya exclaimed.
Just before we left, my phone rang again.
(Who could that be?)
" Mr.Wright, it's me, Maggey Byrde! My bad luck got me arrested again and my trial is tomorrow! Will you defend me?"
(Still the goddess of misfortune, I see.)
"Umm... actually..."
"Alright! Visit me at the detention center soon!"
Maya asked,"Uhh... Nick, how are you going to defend both clients at the same time?"
(What have I gotten myself into?)
