Chapter 2

I tapped my pen in irritation. And fear. My eyes kept glancing at the clock, waiting till the bell rang to announce that first period was over. And I swear, every time I looked at that clock, it just got slower and slower.

After Drew saw that whole thing between Bryan and I, I could only guess what would happen. As a thousand different scenarios ran through my head, my eyes kept falling on Drew. During the whole class period, he had been staring straight ahead, listening to the teacher talk about how the Federalists and Anti-Federalists argued about state power and such. As if he really did care about US History.

When I finally heard the bell ring to dismiss the classes, I shot right up and ran right over to Drew.

"Please don't tell anyone." I said half begging half threatening.

Drew just looked up at me, still getting up from his seat, and grabbed his things slowly, not even bothering to respond.

I sighed with frustration and said, "I swear to god if you say anything to anyone I am going to..."

"Ok ok relax will ya!" Drew said calmly, with a hint of laughter in his voice. He was enjoying this way too much."I won't tell anyone that horrific seen I just saw today."

Relief spread through my body! I didn't even bother commenting on his description of what went on between Bryan and I. A smile formed on my face as I started to say, "Thank yo..." until Drew interrupted me. Again.

"If." All relief left my body as I felt myself grow cold, and paler than I already was, if that was possible. "If you do me a little favor in return."

I did not like the sound of that at all. But my options were pretty limited at this moment. I groaned. "Fine what is it. And it better not be something illegal like selling drugs or stealing. I prefer not to have 'Gone to Jail' on my permanent record."

A little smirk showed up on his face as I realized he was trying to hold down a laugh. I have never wanted to punch someone so bad in my life.

"No you won't have to do anything illegal." He said with clear humor in his voice. "And from the looks of it, I am guessing you are one of those goody-two-shoes type of girl. Am I correct?"

My only response was a meaningful glare.

Drew seemed quite pleased with this and said, "Ah perfect. You are exactly what I need." His eyes seemed to light up mischievously.

"What am I perfect for?" Jeez this guy was annoying.

"You are perfect material to be my girlfriend."

I didn't even need to think before I responded. "No way in hell you bastard. And besides I am already in a relationship if you recall why we are talking in the first place."

Drew seemed unfazed by my response. "Yes and so is he if I recall correctly. He has a girlfriend doesn't he. Oh what was her name, Diana?"

I could feel my teeth grind together with frustration. "Daphne. And he doesn't even really like her. He is just using her for sex." I said. Knowing those words weren't true.

And I am guessing Drew knew them too because he just gave me a look that said 'Come on, really?'

"Why do you even want me to be your girlfriend?" I asked, looking away from him. Daphne was a bit of a sore subject for me.

Drew gave that smirk again that I was beginning to hate with a fiery passion. He knew that he had convinced me. "Well, as you know I have a past." I snorted at that comment. From the stories I heard, he had more than just a past. "Anyways, I am on parole. So if I have girlfriend that is a good girl, then they will be more lenient on me. Thinking that the girlfriend is creating a good influence on me."
