First Day

First chappie everyone!
This chapter is pretty much an introduction for the main characters.

"Hoy bruha! Gumising ka na dyan! First day na first day ng school, male-late pa tayo?!" the older sister, Coleen shouted towards her sister. "HOY NICOMAINE! PAG DI KA PA TALAGA BUMANGON DYAN, IIWANAN KA NA NAMIN!"

Coleen (Nicoleen Dyann) Mendoza, older sister of Maine (Nicomaine Dei) by three years, loved her younger sister very much. But every morning, she gets very irritated at her for Maine never wakes up on time. This causes them to be both late to school. She can't just leave her sister behind since they go to the same school. As their school has both elementary and high school, this has been Coleen's problem ever since Maine started Grade 1.

"Hoy! Bumangon ka na or wala nang matitirang hotdog para sayo!" Coleen shouted her last attempt to wake her sister before leaving the bedroom.

When the younger sister heard Coleen's last statement, she hurriedly jumped out of her bed, took a very very quick shower and quickly got herself ready for school. She takes food very seriously.

"HINDI NYO PWEDENG UBUSIN ANG PABORITO KOOOOO!" she shouted as she dashed down from her bedroom to the bathroom to get ready as fast as she could.

The whole family was surprised at her screams and how fast the youngest daughter got herself ready for school.

"Ano ka ba naman?! High school ka na ngayon, pero parang bata ka parin umarte," her mother joked.

But Maine just ignored their jokes as she was too focused on her favourite food. Plus, she needed to eat quickly as she knows that she is going to be late for school.

This is Nicomaine Dei Mendoza. Today, she is now in her first year of high school. She likes making jokes and making people happy. But, she is also a very intelligent girl who excels in her studies. However, those facts are not that important. If there is one thing that you need to know about her, is that food is her number one priority. May it be eating or cooking food. She takes it very seriously.

The sisters have only been at the table for ten minutes when...

"Let's go, Let's go!" Coleen said just as Maine was about to finish her last bite, and pulled Maine by the arm.

"NOOOOO! DI PA AKO TAPOS!" she shouted as she is being pulled towards the door. She couldn't do anything but just wave goodbye to her food.

The two sisters along with the youngest brother, Dean, started walking out the door to head to school.

Their parents, the oldest brother, Nico (Nicolas Dynn),  and Niki (Nicolette Ann), the oldest sister just looked at the three youngest members of the family who were heading out the door, shaking their heads. "Hay naku, kelan kaya sila tatanda?"

The three youngest members of the Mendoza family just arrived at St. Therese School barely on time. Coleen and Dean (Nicodeim Dean) were so scared that they were going to be late for their first day in their last year of elementary for Dean and high school for Coleen.

Meanwhile, Maine was still thinking about that last bite of her hotdog that she wasn't able to finish. She didn't really think that today is such an important day. Sure, it's her first day of high school. She is no longer a little elementary girl. But at the same time, she doesn't feel like it's a start of a new journey because it's not like she moved school. Since her school, St. Therese School, offers elementary to high school, it's not like she will be with new people and in a new environment. She has been going to this school since first grade so it's nothing new.
