Song Yunhyeong has been your brother Jiwon's best friend for as long as you could remember. He basically lived in your house since he came so often. The three of you used to play together but as you grew older and became more of a female, your brother doesn't let you hang out with them anymore. Today your family decided to have a picnic by a river and of course, Yunhyeong came along.
"Jiwon, will you please help set up the blanket?" your mom commanded your brother as you made your way up the hill. The moment you got there, the two boys started running around shoving each other and acting like boys in general.
"Yunhyeong, give me a hand will you." your brother tried to convince him to help but failed miserably. "Aigo! do it yourself you lazy bum!" your brother pouted but did it on his own anyway.
You sat by the river alone thinking of random thoughts. You could hear Yunhyeong and your brother bickering about something and it reminded you of when you three were kids.
The two boys huddled over a spot in the garden while you guys were playing tag. Suddenly, a worm was thrown at you.
"AACCCKKK!!!" you screamed and started to cry. Your brother had thrown the worm at you and was laughing so hard he was holding his stomach.
Yunhyeong smacks jiwon behind his head and scolds him. "Why would you do that to y/n! You know she hates worms!" He goes over to you and leads you inside.
"That's exactly why!" You hear your brother say while still laughing very hard.
"It's okay, y/n, don't cry. I wont let him do that to you ever again, promise!" you keep crying still and yunhyeong comforts you.
"Ya! C'mon it was just a joke, stop crying!" you hear your brother's voice get nearer. Yunhyeong grabs your hand and starts pulling you away.
"I WON'T LET THE EVIL JIWON GO NEAR MY PRINCESS!!!" yunhyeong yells as you two run around the house.
"YOUR PRINCESS!?!?" jiwon strats to laugh again. "YUNHYEONG LIKES Y/N, YUNHYEONG LIKES Y/N!!"
"I DO NOT!!" Yunhyeong's face is bright red with embarrassment. "You're just being mean to her that's why I need to protect her." he mumbles.
Jiwon still keeps on laughing and teasing while yunhyeong keeps on denying.
But that was a long time ago. Everything is different now. For a while you thought that maybe yunhyeong did like you and you started to like him as well, but then he suddenly had a girlfriend and to say the least, you were shattered.
"Y/N!" you were brought back to reality by someone calling your name. You turned around to see yunhyeong approaching you.
"It's time to eat." he smiled and helped you up. You blushed as his hand touched yours. (kyaaaaa~XD) You noded and the two of you walked side by side to the picnic area.
"what were you thinking of there?"
"nothing, just remembering stuff."
"like what?"
"when we were kids. Playing, and jiwon oppa threw that worm at me." you smiled at the memory and so did he.
