Chapter II - Memories of Love

After Fr. Lance, Jefferson and Marcus eat their lunch, Jefferson grabs his cellphone in his bag and he show some pictures to Fr. Lance. The picture of him and Catalina.

Jefferson: Father, here is my last picture with Catalina, this picture was taken 10 days before she died. Every time I misses her, I opened my phone and see this picture.

Fr. Lance: Oh I see, by the way, what is your love story with Catalina?

Jefferson: Here it is Father.

- I met Catalina when we were in High School, on the first day of school, I was amazed on her beauty, I tell myself: I would like to court her and become "couples", I made it successfully. I was happy at that time -

- When we are in the college, we have the same course, we graduated together, then after that, I started to make her my girlfriend, on that day, I was very happy -

- After 13 years of courtship with Catalina, I would like to engage her, but it was very hard because I don't have enough money to buy an engagement ring but, I ask on Fr. Federico, your predecessor on how to make my engagement to Catalina to be successful, so he gave me an advice about it -

Fr. Federico: It is not important how expensive is that ring, if you really love this girl, prove to her by being a true and smart man, be simple!

Jefferson: Simple? Why?

Fr. Federico: Jesus loves us very much. The way Jesus loves us is being simple, everybody knows he is the Lord, but the people before thought that this "Savior" is a very rich man, come from a powerful family, all glory and fame is in "this" savior. But Jesus is not like that. He was born in a manger, instead of a palace, he lived in Nazareth and he lived simple, he has only 12 apostles in his mission, a rich man has many servants who served him, Jesus was here to serve and not to be served. Do you know what happened? There are few kings in the time of Jesus was forgotten their accomplishments in their land, but because of Jesus' humble service, he is known by all people after 2000 years.

Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son

And now let the weak say, "I am strong"
Let the poor say, "I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us" 🎶

Jefferson: Now I know what will I do, Thank you very much Father.

- After that, my engagement with Cat-Cat was successful, I gave her a simple ring in which best describes my personality. -

- When the time for us to get married, I was very happy, thanking God for these things, and on that day, I dream to have a family for myself -
