Shadow was never really the one to be loved, she was an evil child, and no one liked her, she had black hair, down to her shoulders, and it was up in pigtails. She had a sister, named Emy, now her sister was loved, loved alot.. Her sister had dirty blonde hair, which was almost brown, and the deepest brown eyes ever, and her hair was up in pigtails also, but with a big bow...
Shadow and her mother didn't really ever get along, Shadow was more of a daddy's girl. Shadow felt her father was the only one that loved her. Emy on the other hand, her two older brothers loved her, and her father loved her, and her mother loved her. Shadow hated her sister, and she always messed with her, and blamed things on her.. Until one faithful night...the worst night of both of their lives...
"Where is we going, Shadow?" Emy questioned.
"Somewhere.'" Shadow answered.
They both walked down the hall of their house, in their feety pajamas. Emy had pink ones, Shadow had purple. By now, they were both 2... Shadow opened the door to their parents room. Emy was confused, but followed Shadow into the room. Shadow then hoped up onto the bed and crawled over to her mother.
"What are you doing, Shadow?" Emy questioned.
"She will love me..." Shadow mumbled. Emy didn't hear what Shadow said after that, because she couldn't comprehend it. Becuse by then, Shadow had raised a knife out of her pocket, and over her head. Emy backed up into the wall, afraid of what Shadow might do. Shadow swung the knife down in one swift movement... Emy screamed, and their Father woke up. Only to see Shadow sitting next to her mother...now bleeding out...and ....dead...
"SHADOW REIN MIZENER!" Their father yelled.
Shadow said nothing, all she did was look at her father, as he jumped out of bed, and put his clothes on...and packed a bag.. he was leaving..
"I knew this was going to happen...i tried to love you, Shadow. but it didn't work out... you can't be loved, its not possible...not even for a father.." Shadow was stunned...had her father really just said this? to her face? to his baby girl? the little one with black pigtails and purple feety pajamas? the one in diapers?!?! ....Yes he had. Shadow looked at her mother, in dissbeleif. Emy looked at her father. Her father looked at her.
"Your staying here, Emy." her father murmered.
"b-but daddy...-" Emy stuttered
"No! don't talk. here." Her father handed her a stuffed bunny, the one that she slept with, and put a pacifier in her mouth as well. "Be nice to your sister....for me?" His eyes were teary, as he patted Emy's head. Emy nodded, and without another word, their father left... he left them alone. Shadow was still staring at her mother, tears now running down her face. Emy ran to wake up her brothers. Shadow saw that Emy had ran off, and she followed her, angrily. Emy knocked on her brothers door. No one answered, but the door swung open instead, Emy stared blankly at an empty room.
"Wheres-" Emy began
"They left last night!" Shadow sobbed
"no! they didn't! they w-wouldn't! we cant be....alone.."
"Yes we can! you know why?! because nobody wants to love two monsters! MONSTERS!"
"I'm not a monster! you are! you hurt mommy!"
"I didn't hurt her! shes...sleeping!"
Emy stared at her sister, and Shadow grinned.
"We have to go now, baby sister." Shadow took Emy's hand and led her outside, and through the front lawn, leaving behind everything. Shadow turned Emy to face her.
"I'm going to do something. and you have to promise you won't tell."
"I-I promise Shadow.."
Shadow suddenly began to change, her hands turned black, and so did her feet, she was turning into...smoke sort of. She dissintegrated into the air, and swirled around her baby sister. Emy was terrified, but too shocked to move, or even try to scream. Shadow went into Emy's mind...
"Don't worry..it will all be over soon." Shadow whispered from inside Emy's mind.
Emy was a bit scared, but she believed her sister, after all, they were sisters. Emy began to change... her eyes turned a firey red, and her hair pitch black, her teeth got sharper than knives, and she began to laugh. Shadow took over. Shadow was now Emy. Emy was now Shadow. They were one, and couldn't be separated..
CHAPTER 2: The beginning of the End
Shadow had been terrorizing the neighborhood, for the last month, murdering everyone in sight. Emy was trying to get back in control, but failing. The whole time, Emy held onto the stuffed bunny rabbit. Shadow couldn't get her to let go of it. In a way, Shadow didn't want her to let go of it...
Shadow began to tear at a front door of a house, when she heard someone behind her, and turned around, standing there, was the Angel Heather, or in other words, Shadow's mother. Shadow just stared at her mother... she was beautiful, her hair looked like it was underwater, and her smile was so inviting, that she felt like she was floating on clouds... Shadow soon found herself standing right in front of the Angel.
"Shadow..." The Angel whispered, bending down and hugging her. Emy was happy that her mother was back, but had not realized she was dead yet.. "Shadow...you have to go... leave here...with your sister..."
"but...theres so many people...that...hate me" Shadow muttered to the Angel, being picked up and snuggled into her chest.
"I never hated you, your my baby girl." The Angel's voice sounded so sweet, and so nice, Shadow couldn't help but yawn, at her melodious voice. The Angel laughed tenderly.
"but..you loved Emy more...i knew that... it..it was obvious..." Shadow felt sleepy.
"No..i didn't....You didn't want my attention. or my love. or my hugs. and Emy did. thats all.. "
Shadow felt mad, really mad. she huffed at that thought. Shadow looked at the Angel, and frowned.
"I never said that! i wanted you to love me, i just...never...told you.." Shadow felt guilty, and hung her head.
The Angel hugged her tighter, and Emy's eyes turned back to their amazing brown, and so did her hair, and suddenly, Shadow had appeared once again, beside her sister, in the Angel's arms. The Angel set both her children down, and began to glow, then dissapeared into thin air.
"Mommy! don't go!" Emy screamed.
"She's gone! let's get out of here!" Shadow grabbed her sister's hand and started running for the city limits. They reached it after an hour.
CHAPTER 3: The limits are broken.
Shadow crossed the city limits with her sister, a burning city, screaming in terror behind her. Emy didn't look back, and neither did Shadow. They left behind their fears, and their troubles, and walked on to the next town. Two babies walking over the border, into Death City. Bruised, Hungry, and covered in the sorrows of their past. (covered in blood) they were put into an orphanage, washed up and cared for. no one would adopt them...because Shadow scared everyone. By the time they were even considered for adoption, they were 13 and they were kicked out, and sent to an academy..but thats a different story. For now, Shadow and her sister were on their own....
