Ever herd of the peace before the storm? Yeah, me too. My sleep was the peace, and opening my eyes is the storm.
"Ughhhh..." I moaned, staring zombiefied at my cream colored ceiling, my eyes crusted over in a haze of dreamless sleep.
"Uuuuggghhhh", I shifted my arm to cover the sun glaring in my eyes, then blew off a dirty pair of underwear laying on my cheek. I probably resembled that of a walking dead creature, ready to murder whatever the hell is in my path. I felt that way too. God knows why I feel like I just got launched out of a kinky garbage bin fuck fest, but I just want it to go away for god's sake.
Considering that, I proceed to roll of my bed, dragging my sheets down to the ground with me,
Thump..
My face crashing against the wooden tiles of my floor was the second part of my waking up process, so when people in the next room hear my groans of pain, they know not to interrupt my morning fit.
I let out another groan, a throaty cough and pulled myself up. I dragged myself to the bathroom, and began to take care of myself, pulled on some sweat gear, and jogged downstairs. Yes, downstairs. Most people are surprised to hear I have an actual house, but any way you put it, I'm not the one paying for it. I was lucky enough to have Bella let me live with her in her roomy craftsman house.
I sighed at the memory of finding a litter of kittens in the basement the first day I moved here, a smile appearing on my emotionless face. They died the following week.
I turned the corner of the hallway into the kitchen. But I stopped in my tracks in surprise at the scene before me. If I had the choice to run, I probably just stand here and laugh to be honest.
"Shit, shit, shit, SHIIIT! Don't just stand there help me!!" yelled a frantic Bella, flailing in the kitchen with a mop in her hands, repeatedly hitting the stove that was illuminated with a bouquet of flames.
"What happened down here?!" I yelled and I stepped forward reluctantly, trying to hold back my fit of giggles. Good thing Bella was too occupied with the scene to notice me.
"I dont know, it just BAM!" she replied making an explosion motion with her hands.
Before I could step in, Dallas appeared behind me in a flash. Dallas, as in my super dorky, and playful boyfriend. Other than him being completely adorable, when did he even get here?
I simply looked up at him before he scuttled around me, and grabbed a cloth, proceeding to hit the fire violently until it went out. Bella looked at him with venom, seemingly upset that he did something she couldn't. How adorable. In his own content, Dallas took no notice of her, as he turned to my casual form and grinned cheekily, his dimples sprouting from his cheeks. I smiled back at him, my grogginess disappearing from sight. He never failed to lighten up my mood, he didn't even have to try. After dating for two years, you'd be surprised that that feeling of pure joy never went away. With Dallas, I never had that option. He was just that great, with his thick brown hair, melon shaped face, and glowing green eyes.
"Thanks babe." I walked over to him and he engulfed me into one of his strangling hugs, and planted an abrupt kiss on my lips. He never seized to be a bit rough when he touched me, but I never minded that much. Bella sure did though.
"You couldn't have been any less of a help, Dallas.." Bella commented through gritted teeth. Dallas raised his eyebrows with a smirk as she roughly leaned the broom on the counter, and stomped away angrily. Her footsteps bounded throughout the house before a door slammed loudly.
I giggled as Dallas called up to her, "Love you too Bells!"
"F deoleoun hetelo!" (F you dirty hetero)I laughed even harder. For some unknown reason, Bella always hated Dallas. At first, it was a bit concerning, but it got really funny after the month he had to stay with us when Bella rigged his pipes and flooded his apartment.
