Living confused
Living in the unknown
Not knowing where you are
Or where you are going
But you start running
In no particular direction
Running from nothing
But running towards something
Something unknown
Something that calls you
Something that pulls you
Into nothing
Into the darkness
You know you should stop
But you can't
You just keep running
Things get darker
And darker
And then you stop
You hit a fork in your path
Decisions have to be made
One way is dark
One way is light
The dark calls your soul
The light calls your heart
And your mind is divided
But sometimes your soul is stronger
You take the dark path
You run and run
The farther you run
The happier you feel
But your heart tells you its not a good happy
It's a dark happiness
You shut out your heart
And keep running
Then the path becomes painful
It shatters you heart
It corrupts your mind
And it intoxicates your soul
Now you are drunk on darkness
The darkness draws you farther in
Until there is no escape
And you can only go forward
And before you know it
You fall
And you keep falling
Nothing to grab onto
No one to catch you
You just fall until you hit bottom
You lie there in pain
You lie there broken
You go in and out of consciousness
And then the final moment comes
The last blast of pain
Your body takes its last breath
And then everything goes silent
The last thing your mind thinks of
Is wether or not you took the right path
And without knowing if you did or not
You are gone.
