**three weeks later**
Marcus passed Devan in the hallway and turned his head the opposite direction. The breakup was tough and he hated thinking about how it was his fault. He was ashamed of what he did and convinced himself that Devan would never forgive him.
"Hey!" Caley called and pulled Marcus over to her morning hang out spot. "Is everything ok?" Marcus sighed, "Yeah. It's fine." He glanced back at Devan. "You need to talk to him." "What?" "You heard me, talk to him. You can't just mope around forever." "You're right. But, I doubt he has any interest in talking to me." Caley huffed and walked over to Devan. Marcus watched her say a few things then walk back. "I asked him if he wanted to talk with you. He said yeah." Marcus looked over and saw Devan looking at him. "I'll text him later." "No! You dummy! You have to talk to him now!" Caley pushed Marcus towards Devan, "Wait wait," but before he could say anything else, he was standing in front of Devan. "Hi Marcus." Caley gave Marcus one last shove then walked away. "Hey Devan." They stood for a few seconds in awkward silence. "You know, we should just talk later," Devan said quietly. "Yeah, yeah. Uh, see you later, I guess." Marcus went to grab his book bag and left to class.

As Marcus drove to Devan's house, he had several thoughts of turning back. /I can't do this...but I have to...but I don't want to.../ The scenery of the drive brought back memories of happiness and joy that he had once shared with Devan. Now it just reminded him how awful he felt. He parked in Devan's driveway and slowly walked to the front door. He gave a quiet knock and then the door opened. "Hey. Come in." Marcus walked in and Devan closed the door behind him. He silently followed Devan to his room and sat on the edge of his bed.
"I have to talk to you." "Yeah, I know. I need to talk to you too." Devan sat next to Marcus. "So, I'm sorry about that whole cheating on you thing...even though I wasn't really cheating." Devan gave Marcus an annoyed look, "Yes you were. But anyways...I need to say sorry. I know I spoiled Fallout 4 for you..." "Ok yeah, I might have "cheated" on you, but spoiling my game is way fucking worse." Marcus sighed and stood up. "Spoiling a game isn't a good enough reason to break up with someone. Cheating is. I should've dumped you first." "Whatever." Marcus walked out and got back in his car. Devan came chasing after him, "Wait! Marcus, I still have feelings for you. All this time apart is killing me. I need you." Marcus looked down, "Get in the car." "Wha-" "Get. In. The. Car." Devan smiled and quickly hopped in.
Marcus started driving to the local park. "Devan, I miss you too but what you did is unforgivable." "I know. Fallout 4 means a lot to you and I shouldn't have spoiled it." Marcus smirked, "Yeah. I forgive you." They arrived at their destination and got out. Marcus took Devan's hand and lead him to the top of a hill. "Remember where we had our first date?" "Yeah, it wasn't here though." "Wait it wasn't?" "Uh no. It was that hill." Devan pointed in a different direction from where they were walking. "Oh woops. Let's go that way." Marcus turned red and quickly pulled Devan to the other hill.
They got to the spot and Marcus got down on one knee while still holding Devan's hands, "Devan, I need to ask you something."
