Even though I don't remember the first few years that much, there's always that particular person who tries to jog my memory by talking about the days when I was little and so I have managed to recall a few events.
I remember when I was three, I used to sit on my sister's lap while she played Pinball on a computer that had Microsoft Windows XP built into it, which I think both are obsolete by now. One time, she let me use the built-in components of the system and I utilized a paint program. That's what led me into making the best mistake of my life nine years later, everything will make sense later on. Artistry had me wrapped around its finger as well, which probably also led me to make the best yet worst mistake ever!
I started drawing when I was three, I first began drawing characters from cartoons and then it elevated all the way to still-life drawings and abstract paintings as well. I remember I used to draw an awful lot back in the days but school has been absorbing so much of my time recently that it is hindering me from practicing in order to improve my skills. As you can see, I also have a passion for writing. I have many works in my room or on my journal that are waiting to be published on the internet. Whenever I'm bored during a lesson or a replacement lesson, I begin composing stories or tiny verses thanks to my lurking thoughts. That picture above is one of my works, drawn at some point in 2014. My father had kept it with him and hung it on the wall in the bedroom I used to sleep in whenever I went to sleep over at his house.
My dad's significant other has a son who had also been studying Art at the time and we used to love drawing together. We were at my grandparents' house and we got bored and I asked Grandpa to give us each a sheet of paper. He gave us each a piece of paper and he decided to borrow my grandfather's laptop to decide what we were going to draw. He saw a picture of wings concealed with a cross and a heart. I was proud with my effort and so I decided to hang it on the wall.
I also happen to be very fond of technology, I highly believe that technology is essential in our lives. Even though it has its fair share of drawbacks, it has its strong points as well. I have been studying this subject for a year now and even though it makes me want to sing the blues from time to time, I tell myself that it will be worth pondering over a problem because I know that this subject is going to help me start my career in time.
Please ignore the practice book and that crimson bag on the floor, I know there a lot of wires hooked and the hardware and peripherals are on the floor. However I got bored at some point and I decided to set up my old computer. Yes, my old laptop is no longer working. I don't want to fix it as I don't think it's not worth the expenses, not to mention it's almost two years old by now and so it's not worth fixing. The computer in the picture generally works even better even though the tower is almost four years old! Windows XP works just like a charm on this computer, much to my surprise!
I had to replace the mainboard for it was severely damaged after a selection in the BIOS had damaged the mainboard completely.
Don't worry, it's no longer on the floor...
And it also got itself an upgrade!
I had chosen Art Appreciation as an option subject as well, I have to admit that I have been getting better ever since I chose the subject because being the pessimist I have always been, I thought that I was going to go downhill and drop it two years later but it turns out that I did not. Come to think of it, Art and Computing really are a brilliant combination if you ask me.
Ultimately I also have an anthology of my own works in two portfolios, both had been presented recently during a speech and they were also given to an invigilator who is also my Art teacher.
Below is one of my very favourite works, I had been working on that on a Saturday evening. I remember my mother was invited to this wedding and I was left with my older sister. I got bored and I started to draw a flower with my compass and so I painted it and voila!
