Chapter 2

Sky let out his breath when Deadlox sliced the squid and it poofed into a cloud of code. He thought he saw a tear fall from the squids eye. He felt a pang of sorrow, for Sky wasn't the soulless type. He quickly shook away the feeling and smiled.

"So, that was weird. Wanna-" Sky was interrupted by a wail.

"Noooooo! Rose NOOOOOO!" Sky whirled to face the water and saw a squid cradling the flower that had fellen from the dead squids head. Sky gasped as he saw thw squids face.

"SquidDoesMinecraft? What are you doing here?, Get out of here!" He swung his sword and Squid backed up. He looked up at Sky and he saw a rush of fury and sorrow.

"My daughter. You killed her." Squid said quietly. Sky felt a huge stab in his heart? He hadn't meant to set Deadlox on Squids's daughter! He hadn't meant anything by it'! He even disliked fighting Squid. He felt like he was hurting a poor helpless creature. The squids couldn't defend themselves!

"L-look! I didn't mean it Squid-!" Sky stammered, but Squid cut him off with a raised tentacle.

"You will pay for this. Three days, that's all I will give." Squid looked up menacingly and crushed the flower , making Sky jump. Squid pointed the tentacle accusingly. "We will come, and we will get revenge." He slowly sank into the water and disappeared into the murky depths.

Rose felt cold. Cold and empty. She looked around at the never-ending darkness that was all around her. Almost swallowing her up. She had called out for help a few times to see if anyone would respond, but nobody did. She was alone, and blind. No light, sound, or feeling. Just floating.

She heard a sound, a wooshing right by her head. Rose felt tingling go through her tentacles and swam,? flew? floated toward the strange splotch that had whizzed by her. It felt warmer the closer she was to it. Then it started sucking. Sucking her in. She flailed around, crying out for her father, anyone. The thing sucked her in and collapsed on her, making it hard to breathe. It started pushing and pulling her and stretching her. She felt with horror her tentacles falling off except for two, which were widened and stretched into legs. Her mouth pulled onto her face and her eyes centered like a human's, no longer derpy, but shining and brigt blue. Rose felt hair grow on her head and her skin turning smooth and not slippery and icky. The splotch worked clothes onto her new body, but left her without shoes. Rose then felt herself falling, falling, and landing hard onto what felt like grass.

Then she lay there, breathing hard, and feeling herself. Arms, legs, hair? A human?! She panicked, her heart pounding, and opened her eyes. She came face to face with Deadlox.
