“Come on Jordan you can’t miss this! It’s your senior prom!” Summer exclaimed pounding on my bedroom door, how my dog didn’t attack her is beyond me.
“Go away Smer! I don’t want to go to prom! Liam isn’t here so whats the use?” I yelled back, the sound being muffled by my pillow.
“Jordan, common Liam would want you to go!” She argued. I sighed and threw a shoe that was laying on the floor beside the bed at the door hoping she would go away.
“Summer don’t you have better things to do tonight? Like go out to dinner with your boyfriend, who flew down from Canada to be here?” I called back sitting up on my bed.
“Dylan understands completely. Now come on! Don’t make me call reinforcements!” She threatened.
“Can’t you just leave me alone! Your boyfriend took the time off his busy schedule to be here for you go join him. My boyfriend couldn’t okay?!” I yelled again but felt my strength for fighting weakening.
“Please don’t you remember homecoming? Dylan was shooting and couldn’t come down? I was upset but I went to the stupid dance anyway, because he wanted me to have fun and you know I know you know Liam would want you to go to this, so get your butt out of bed, now!” She screeched through the door. Sighing I got out of bed and grumbling the whole way to the door and opened it.
“Finally. Okay here is you dress now hurry and get changed we have two hours before the dance starts and Dyl made dinner reservations for us in an hour.” Summer ushered trusting a white bag at me, before exiting the room to join Dylan who sat on my couch petting my dog. Gesh here I thought they were good guard dogs and what do they do? They turn into cutsey little puppies the one time I need them to be mean.
Shaking my head I walked back into my room, closing the door behind me and opened the bag to see the prettiest dress I had ever seen in it. It was torques blue and had different patterns on it. Hurrying I slid the dress on before calling for Summer to come help me zip it up.
“He was right; it does look amazing on you.” Summer muttered under her breathe as she helped zip up the dress.
“Who was right?” I questioned, squinting my eyes threateningly at the girl in the long puffy dress.
“I didn’t say anything.” She replied with an innocent look on her face, too innocent of a look to be taken seriously.
“Uh hu. Now can you do my hair while I do my makeup?” I asked as I sat down at my vanity. Summer nodded and I handed her my brush as she began to brush through my medium length brown hair, before she began braiding it in every which direction. I sighed as I finished my makeup and looked in the mirror. I really missed Liam, I hadn’t seen him since Valentine’s Day and that was almost three months ago. Summer finished my hair and handed me a little bag that matched my dress and we walked out into the living room.
“Wow Jordan you look amazing. Liam is surely one lucky guy.” Dylan told me, giving me a full smile that reached his brown eyes. I could easily see how Summer fell for him so quickly.
“Thanks Dylan, now we better be getting to the restraint before they cancel our reservation.” I replied, hoping to stop Summer and Dylan from making all the lovey dovey faces at each other for a minute.
“Of course, the limo awaits princess’ Summer and Jordan.” Dylan agreed bowing a bit and opening the front door to let us out. I smiled as I grabbed my house key and locked the door behind us.
