Mysteries of Ancient Civilizations

In Ancient Egyptian mythology, the Sun God Ra was the most powerful of the Egyptian deities. He was the grandfather of Osiris, Isis, and Set. The sun god Ra was also the creator of the universe. He often depicted as having the sun above his head, and he was the mightiest god of ancient Egypt. In Egyptian creation mythology, the beginning of the universe was consists of nothing, no heaven or earth, no life or death, but only darkness and water. Then in the annual flood of the ancient Nile, the water receded and land emerged forming the mount of creation. From there, the sun god Ra rose for the first time causing his radiant light on the world. Ra then created the deities of air and water and separated the earth from the sky allowing the rest of creation to unfold. This creation mythology of the ancient Egyptians is only one of many. The creation of the universe is probably the hardest thing to challenge our speculations since then. We have a bunch of creation myths around the world, and even theories, but we still don't know if these myths and theories have a basis of reality.

The ancient Egyptian civilization was one of the advanced civilizations existed in the ancient world. In the middle east, Mesopotamia (modern-day Iraq) was divided into four kingdoms such as Sumer, Babylon, Assyria, and Akkad. In Central America, we have the Mayans, which many researchers believe they were the ones who possessed most highly advance knowledge than the other civilizations of their time. What or who was the reason why Mayans started their calendar at 3114 B.C.? What was the significance of this date? According to the book of the Jaguar Priest of Mayans, that was the time when the road to the stars descended, and the 1309 gods come down and taught them of basic knowledge in astronomy, agriculture, and mathematics. The Mayans believes their knowledge came from the gods, who once visited the earth with the promise to return in the future. In Christianity, we started our calendar in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ. So all of these myths have based on the actual event because nobody in their right mind would just set a date without strong evidence or proof of divine visitation.

I grew up in Lubao, Pampanga a province in Northern Luzon Philippines. During my youngster, I am not that good or proper in academics, so I had to develop and dig for something to become better.  I'm an enthusiastic guitarist and researcher during my early years in college. I'm so fascinated ever since about ancient mysteries, ancient civilizations, paranormal, legends, mythologies, and even ghost stories. According to Plato there was a civilization once existed in the ancient world, known as the Atlantis. Plato suggests that the Atlantis exists approximately 9600 B.C. The story of Atlantis is one of the famous mysteries of the ancient world, it was devastated by a cataclysmic event. According to some researchers, the location of Atlantis could be in the area of the Atlantic ocean. We still don't know what was the reason for the disappearance of this ancient civilization. In a textbook authored by a Filipino writer, he suggests that Atlantis was overpopulated, it becomes heavier and heavier causing the city to sank back to the ocean. But there are no archaeological findings of Atlantis as evidence of its existence. Atlantis was only one of the lost civilizations existed in recorded history. In Central America, the Mayans were terrified and some were killed by the Spanish conquerors during their conquest of Central America. The last Maya kingdom, Tayasal, was taken by the Spanish in 1697. But many researchers refuse to believe this theory about their sudden disappearance. In the American southwest, there were people who once inhabited the area now known as Four Corners, called Anasazi, from 100 B.C. to 1300 A.D. The Anasazi civilization grew in the drylands of the American southwest, the Anasazi are called the Ancient People. They lived in groups of houses that the Spanish later called pueblos. Ancient Pueblo people lived in what is now the southwestern United States of America. They lived in a high desert area filled with flat-topped hills called mesas. Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona meet at a point called "Four Corners." Researchers suggest that Ancient aliens could be responsible for the disappearance of these lost civilizations, by their mass abductions. We should accept the reality that they walk among us since then, but we still don't know their real agenda on our planet.

In ancient Sumerian mythology, we have the story of the Anunnaki and the gods like Enlil and Enki. In the epic of Gilgamesh, Anunnaki visited earth to mine golds and precious minerals of our planet and created us through genetic engineering. In this epic, there was also a flood myth like Noah's ark. According to the epic of Gilgamesh, The god Enlil saw the wickedness of men was great, he decided to wipe out the entire earth by a great flood. But before the flood has to come, the god Enki(Ea) warned Utnapishtim and instructed him to build an enormous boat to save himself, his family, and the seed of all living things. He does so, and the gods brought rain which caused the water to rise for many days. When the rains subsided, the boat landed on a mountain, and Utnapishtim set loose first a dove, then a swallow, and finally a raven, which found land. The god Ishtar, created the rainbow and placed it in the sky, as a reminder to the gods and a pledge to mankind that there would be no more floods. The origin of mankind and the story of the great flood was written by the Sumerian hero Gilgamesh. When he explored the world he met the immortal man Utnapishtim and told him the story of the great flood. Perhaps Utnapishtim was also the one who told Gilgamesh about the visitation of Anunnaki, the gods who created mankind.

Archaeologist and Author Zechariah Sitchin studied the Sumerian texts by Gilgamesh which were written on stone tablets, and it must be a great masterpiece because he spent 30 years long translating the Sumerian texts. It dates back to 6000 B.C. according to many archaeologists and researchers. In the mid 70's Sitchin published his book entitled "The 12th Planet." In this book, he points the Anunnaki who came from the planet Nibiru created us through genetic engineering, and their mission was to mine golds here on earth to repair the atmospheric damage of their planet. The story of the Anunnaki is really a fascinating one, it suggests that we are the products of ancient genetic manipulation. Sitchin and Erich von Daniken were two of the greatest thinkers and authors of the 20th century because they opened the eyes of millions of people around the world about the possibility that the gods we believe in were possible, extraterrestrials. If these legends and mythologies were just created by our ancestors' imagination, what was their purpose be? So these stories might have a basis of reality on them. Our ancestors wrote down the knowledge of the universe when the gods descended. They knew that they were the most powerful beings exists in the universe because of their advanced technology. Perhaps the origin of mankind and the creation would just be a mystery. But we could find the answer if we keep on searching like the other researchers began doing for centuries, keep digging and keep exploring. And let's try to look at these stories in modern interpretation, someday some of our theories will no longer be a theory, but the fact chronicles of earth, mankind, and the universe. 

The theory of Big Bang by Edwin Hubble about the creation of the universe is really an amazing theory because there is a 99% possibility that he is right. I do agree with his theory as others do but what if there are other explanations and theories about the creation? I think there are many more. As a researcher and fascinated by science, I started creating my own theory about the creation, I call it, "Seed of Creation." It sounds crazy because people could just refuse to believe me at the same time I'm just an ordinary person. if they are not going to understand what I'm talking about, of course, they will never understand what is this theory. The seed of creation is just a speculation of mine, I took my attention in the study of plants which is the botany, and I started thinking what if the creation was started with a seed? I used to connect this theory with the creation story in the book of Genesis, God said: "let there be light." What if the light that God talks about, was the seed which started the creation? The plants, trees, crops are products of seed, it will grow beyond our consent even in a single moment. So the planets, stars, galaxies, moons were possibly created by a seed which was eventually grown and spread out the matters in the cosmos through natural cause. We all know that plants and trees will grow by natural cause. Therefore as time goes by, even life on our planet started. To me it is really possible that the universe was created by seed, it is similar to the big bang but I refuse to believe the collision of particles could create billions of matters in the universe.
