~This is a story idea I had, Im not sure if i want to continue it. Please give me your feedback! So i know what you think and whether or not i should continue with it!~
‘I can’t believe this is happening’, Adeline exclaimed to herself. ‘It’s finally happening after all this waiting I knew I just had to trust God.’
*Now let me stop right there, because I am sure that you all are confused. As to introduce myself my name is Wesley. Any time you see the * sign* you know im putting my two cents into the story. I shall be the narrator for this story, I do happen to make a couple of appearances in it when Adeline runs into me a couple times, falls in love with me, and tries to sacrifice her life. but really now I am getting ahead of myself. So even though I know the story and I am getting quite bored of it I decided to write it down so maybe you kids could enjoy it. We all know how you teenagers get into those stupid love romance books. But I digress back to the story…..*
Adeline was purely beside herself. Within 6 months Adeline went from being unloved to engaged. She never thought her “soul mate” would come around. She imagined she would be lonely forever.
*See I told you kids, you would dig this book. Soul mates are something you guys dream about forever. Mushy love struck kids…But really to tell Adeline’s story I need to take you back. Yes I know I started in the middle and I shouldn’t have but I couldn’t help myself. So backwards we go…..7 months should do it…*
7 months before
“Mom, Do you know where my pink scarf is?”
“Adeline, its nearly 90 degrees out! You do not need a scarf!” Adeline’s mother replied.
*Her mother is named Charlene, she’s going to be in the story a lot so best to introduce her now…*
“I know it is but it’s a light scarf and it’ll really bring my outfit together. Please mom I need it to look my best!” Adeline remarked as she dug through another dresser drawer in search of the missing scarf.
“I think you’re going to look stupid. You’ll be the only person with a scarf on. I don’t care how good it’s going to make you look. Try a different pair of earrings or something. You’ll get heat stroke wearing a scarf at the park. Next thing you know you’ll be begging me to unpack your pink winter boots,” Charlene retorted.
“Mothers…” Adeline muttered under her breath.
“I heard that Addie. Now please stop fussing over your outfit. It looks fine without the scarf,” Charlene declared as she came into the room and kissed her daughter on the forehead. “Now why don’t you tell me why you are so nervous?”
“I just want this to be perfect. He’s such a great guy. I don’t want to mess this up like I have the others. Im twenty-one, I'm ready to move on with my life and have a family. I just really want him to be the one…” Adeline whispered.
“You're right about some things and wrong about others. Yes you are twenty-one and you should move on with your life. Also yes someday you will have a family, but your past relationships you can’t blame them on yourself. What happened wasn’t your fault. I want you to go out tonight and have fun. Don’t worry about the future so much. What happens is not up to you. Let Life take you on a journey and enjoy it for as long as you can and before you know it you’ll be married with six kids-”
“SIX KIDS!” Adeline interrupted.
Charlene chuckles, “So im a little hopeful for having a lot of grandkids so sue me!”
“I just might have to because I don’t think I can handle six kids- wait a second was that the doorbell!”
“I don’t think-” Adeline puts her hand over her mother’s mouth so she can listen more carefully.
