I look at my overall look in the mirror, and examine every square inch of my body. I have to look perfect. If I don't, I'm scared I'm not going to fit in. Nobody will like me. I'll be alone. And I know what it feels like to be alone. I touch up my hair a little bit, and hairspray it. I wipe my outfit with my hands and sigh. It will work. It looks decent enough.
"Rosie! C'mon!" My mum yells from down the stairs. I quickly run out of the bathroom, and into my room.
"Hold on!" I yell back. I open up my closet, and grab a pair of sandals. I slide them on in a rush, and grab my bag. I run out of my room, and downstairs to where my mother is.
"Were running late!" She followed me, as I walked to the kitchen. I grab a banana, and put it in my bag.
"Ok, ok! I'm ready! Let's go!" I said, following her to the front entrance of our home. I open the door quickly, and run out to the car. I open the car door, and sit in the passenger side of the vehicle. Mum get's in the driver side, and backs out of the driveway.
"Excited?" She asks, looking behind her, watching for cars.
"Thrilled." I said, sarcastically.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I look at the giant school, as mum pulls up into the parking lot. Now, I'm nervous. There's so many people, who are just going to make fun of me. Aka, the new kid.
"Well, have a good day!" Mum says. I roll my eyes, and hop out of the car. I watch as mum drives away. I gulp at the giant school, and start walking towards the front doors. I walk inside. I must be a little late, since nobody's in the hallways. I look at the sign that says 'office→' and walk in that direction. I step inside the office, and walk to the secretary. She had dark brown eyes, and light hair with glasses. She looks up at me, with an obvious fake smile.
"Hello, how can I help you?" She asks politely, even though it's obvious that she wants to scream at someone.
"Um, hi. I'm Rosie Murray, I'm new here. I'm a senior." I say a little shyly.
"Right. I got your schedule right..." She looks through some files on her desk. "Murray, Murray, Murray..." She mumbles to herself. "Right here!" She pulls out a little slip of paper, and hands it over to me. "You're locker 4333, your combination is 19-16-25." She explains. She hands me another paper. "This is the map of the school, with all the room numbers, so you can find your classes."
"Thank you so much." I said, holding both papers.
"Any time. Have a good day now." She says.
"You too." I mumble as I walk away. I don't think she heard me though. I walked out of the office, and down the long hallway. I search for my locker. "4333." I mumble a couple times to myself as I look for my locker. I open it up with the combination she told me, and put my bag in there. I take out my binder, and shut my locker. I looked at my schedule. I have biology first period, which is right now. Room 423. I go on a little scavenger hunt to find room 423. A few minutes later, I found it. I take a deep breath, and open the door. I step inside. Every students eyes land on me. I give a small smile. The teacher stopped talking, and looked at me with a smile.
"You must be Rosie." She says. I nod.
"That's me." I said, clenching onto my binder hard.
"I'm Mrs. Westins, your biology teacher. Right now, we're just going over some homework. But you can take a seat next to Niall back there, and try to follow along." She says pointing to a boy with beautiful blonde hair, and gorgeous blue eyes. I nod, and walk back to this Niall guy. I sit down next to him, and put my binder on the table. I'm not going to lie. He's pretty good looking. He looks over at me and cracks a smile.
"Hi, I'm Niall." He whispers, as Mrs. Westins continues class. I give him a small wave.
"Rosie." I mutter.
"So, Rosie, where are you from?" He asks me, looking directly into my eyes. I look directly back at his. Do I... Like him? No, I can't! I don't even know him!
"Um, actually I'm from here I just transferred schools."
"Why?"
"Reasons. Just reasons..."
"Rosie, Niall." Mrs. Westins says. "Stop talking." I nod. Great. First day of school and I'm already in trouble.
I don't know if I like him or not. But what if he doesn't like me back?
A/N: Hey! Like it so far? Should I update it? I have a feeling this story will get no where, but oh well. :)
