After what must of felt like an eternity, it was the end of the last period. Exiting class, Fred and I took our sweet time walking to Jace's car. Reason, the woodwork class is all the way on the other side of campus. So we're most likely going to have to wait for him.Trying to find Jace's car through the mob of students rushing to get home, wasn't really that hard. Between all the flashy cars, Jace was the only one who owned a pitch black Jeep. With tinted windows. Who like himself was dark and mysterious. And who has everyone trying to figure out the riddle that was Jace Hampton.
A few minutes later Jace arrived. Fred got shot-gun and I was stuck in the back. Not that I minded. By all means he can take it. Jace and I didn't really talk that much. Ha, if you would count "hey" as much.
Out of the whole group, Jace and I aren't really that close. Ever since I moved to Redhill and met him, has he been closed off and distant with me. I never really knew why and I never really cared. Since his whole demeanor screams trouble. And trouble and I don't mix. At all. Ryder once mentioned that he'll warm up to me eventually but its been almost 3 years. Although I've gotten use to him, it sometimes irks me.
The drive wasn't that long, since Will only lives about 20minutes from school. Everyone was already here. Like everyone in town, Will too was loaded. And lived in a mansion. Getting out of the car Jace, Fred and I went inside.
We were greeted by a short, petite Hispanic woman who we love so much. Gloria. Also known as Will's housekeeper and our second mother. She's the reason we love to hang out at Will's so much. She makes the best cookies.
"Mama G!", Fred greeted enthusiastically. "Hola sleepy ve-" "Wait I smell cookies." And with that he went straight to the kitchen. Leaving me, Jace and a shocked Gloria behind. After greeting a still lost-for-words looking Gloria. Patting her on the back, Jace and I joined the others in the kitchen.†***********††**************††*************††***********†
Finishing off Gloria's cookies. We went to Will's room. For Hours we played some video games, played instruments while singing along to our favourite songs, joking around. Like always. It got bored after a while, so Cassidy suggested we played the infamous game of Honey, if you love me, won't you please, please smile. Only her version "baby, if you love me, won't you please smile for me". With Cassidy's whining we finally caved except for Fred. Who fell asleep on the floor. Poor sloppy vegetable.
"How does this game work again?" , asked a confuse looking Gemma.
"It's simple really. The game involves two players at a time: the first player recites the line : (Cassie's version) Baby, if you love me, won't you please smile for me.
To which the second player replies "Baby, I love you, but I just can't smile."
If the second player manages to make it through the exchange without smiling , they win. Got it? No? I'll just-" Cassidy got cut off by everyone. "Yes we get it!" A pouting Cassidy stayed quiet. But not for long. "No need to be so rude."Then there were silence until a smirking Ryder spoke
"So what are we waiting for? Lets play."
