(Oh, also check out the youtube link Better Together by Jack Johnson, it's a great song, really relaxed and laid back, also the lyrics are dead sweet)
A harsh bright light pounded behind my closed eyelids, i scrunched up my face and turned over into the extremely soft fluffy pillows, snuggling in further not ready to wake up.
A gruff chuckle snapped me out of any relaxed state I might once have been in, and sent my body into full panic mode, i locked my joints and clenched my fists ready to attack the stranger that was in my bed.
A finger ran up the inside of my exposed arm sending tingles up my spine. What the hell? Nobody touched me without my permission. I twisted wildly, launching my fist at the shadow that loomed over me possessively. I expected my knuckles to crunch against the cartilage of his nose, and the satisfying crack that would follow giving me enough time to get on my feet into a fighting stance. Instead, the shadow’s other hand came up effortlessly to meet my clenched fist and stopped my attack miles before it even came close to any delicate and breakable part of it’s face.
I ground my teeth in frustration, how in the hell did it see me coming. The hand gave my fist a soft, comforting squeeze, and i pulled back rolling off of the bed into a crouching position.
My eyes darted to the dark wood of the rich, mahogany door; escape. I leapt up, sprinting towards the handle, only to be spun around gently and pressed into the back of the door.
This time I growled menacingly, this was hardly fair, I didn’t even have a chance! The room was dark, even though the curtains were open, the moon shone through the transparent drapes. Shadows were thrown recklessly over the room where, what looked like a four poster bed, took up nearly all the space. Now the creep was off of the bed, the moon illuminated his features revealing a familiar face.
It wasn’t as though I’d seen him before, although I knew I had somewhere, it was as though I’d traced the contours of his face for years, it was all scarily familiar, like returning home after being away for months.
“Who are you.” I hissed, still pressed against the door in quite a compromising position, his leg was in between mine, while he rested his weight on his elbows either side of my head, his mouth only inches away, kissing distance.
“Luke,” he smiled, breathing his delicious, hot breath over my face making me shiver from his closeness.
I turned my head to the side, uncomfortable at the way my body seem to react to the tiniest things he would do, even the subconscious flick of his hair turned my legs to jelly. Ah, this is pathetic, concentrate, he kidnapped you and watched you sleeping?! Refocused, I turned my head back to the front to get a better look at my assailant. His eyes had turned bright yellow, and seemed almost glow, but that would just be my mind playing tricks on me wouldn’t it.
